Howdy everyone, I just wanted to start the first thread off on here giving Steely Dan a round of applause for starting this great site. Keep up the good work man!!

As I watched Kansas continue their sickening luck at home (which I'm still not convinced they have any upcoming road games despite what their schedule says) many thoughts crossed my mind. Most of which can't be repeaded on this family oriented message board.

Dookie V gave Illinois a little props during the game, but not nearly as much as he did to UNC, Kanasa and Duke. I'm not sure how much more I can continue to watch games that he is at. How can that bastard sleep at night?

Personally I hope he keeps up this grudge, I don;t want to hear him doing any Illini games

Hearing that chump on Friday butcher our names and "try" catch phrases was STILL more entertaining that Vitale

***Sidenote*** agree with the kudos on Dan's site, and I dig the Exile shop downtown, it's been needed for a while since Cody stopped Periscope

Nice to see things up and running, Dan.

I suspect that Dickie V.'s act is running thin all across the country, with the notable exception of parts of Durham County, North Carolina, and to a lesser degree, Orange County, North Carolina. Anyone with a modicum of common sense can see him for what he has become--an impetuous buffoon and a total caricature of his former very-excitable-yet-still-actually-a-pretty-decent-analyst schtick. We aren't the only ones who have no use for him, we are just the only team with a coach who tends to make that kind of thing public knowledge. The real loser in all of this is that poor schmuck Schulman...

V is not fooling anyone, and neither is Kansas nor dook.

Just a quick question--how "family oriented" is the forum planning to be? I need some boundaries before I go posting any swear-heavy vitriol just to have it deleted. Dirty words okay? D!rty w0rds 0nly lik3 th1s? Only things you'd say in front of someone else's grandmother?

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Steve

how "family oriented" is the forum planning to be?Good question, as I don't have an official set of "guidelines" in place right now this forum is a work in progress. As far as cursing, if you absolutely feel the need to vent please disguise the bad words with other characters such as "!", "#", "&", etc.

Dan--That's perfectly fine. I just wanted to address it before I inadvertantly crossed a line, for I will almost certainly feel the need to vent, and even my regular mode of expression is rather liberally sprinkled with cursewords and vulgarity...

Hello to everyone. I live in Minnesota and keep up on Illini basketball "news" via the forum on the Illiniboard (I watch them on ESPN Fullcourt when not on national or regional TV). However, I have never registered and do not post on that board. I'm looking forward to contributing to this forum since I have been an Illini fan since John "Red" Kerr was playing.

Concerning the "idiots" at ESPN...I hope they continue to sell the Illini short. The Illini's status among other NCAA teams will be proven on the court (as it has been already this year).

We got two more votes in the ESPN/USA Today poll today if anyone cares. I really need to find better things to do with my time than pay attention to and complain about us not getting every vote in the polls. Wait...no I don't.

Hey Exile...I'm appalled by the blatant attempt at advertising at the bottom of your posts! :) Who lost the votes that Illinois received?

Oklahoma State of course. Another unbeaten bites the dust.
