Great board Dan.

About OSU, I kinda remember the game last year and I remember that Dials killed us. But does anyone remember why else it was so close? We were rolling at the time and OSU hadn't shown anything last year, yet they almost beat us. Cold shooting? Turnovers?

Also, I don't remember the non-change they are talking about on their board. Anyone remember it?

Also, I don't remember the non-change they are talking about on their board. Anyone remember it?As I recall it was kind of a routine road Big Ten grind. We led most of way, but not a huge lead. OSU's new bball arena has always been murder for us to play, and they made a run at the end to nearly tie it up.

On the last play of the game we were up 1, 10 seconds left, OSU's man drove the length of the court and lost the ball while charging into Augie, and Deron was mixed up in it as well, as time expired. It was a terrifying play because you just knew they were going to call a block on James, but no whistle.

I was shocked as well, James never gets calls. and YES Dials ate us up pretty badly that game. Maybe we should have recruited him like Arnold. That should solve all of our problems :D

If we were to recruit Dials like Arnold, I doubt he would have been interested. I hear it's pretty expensive to get tOSU players to transfer to your institution...

Seriously though, Dials and Arnold were 2 of the bigs that took it to us last year. So far we look like we have improved in that area. Turiaf, Williams, and the thug twins from Cincy didn't really hit us too hard.

Totally. I still feel like the inside presence is our biggest Achilles' heel, but based on this season's performance, it's completely unjustified. I think that our biggest weakness may turn out to be kryptonite.

Well before the season started, I talked to a lot of people about the Illini. My comment was if they can get at least 20% more out of the Frontcourt (mostly on the defensive end), then we would be scary good. I think we have improved at least that much so far. I am glad to see Weber loosening the strings on Ingram especially and Warren to an extent.

As good as I knew that Roger was, I am really most impressed with his defense so far this season.
