I go to this site pretty often....the writers are pretty good in a tongue n cheek kinda way....they are all over the Illini and Cubs, and since those are my teams I head here about 2 times a week

yeah I know I would have killed for even getting swept in the series, because that would mean my beloved cubs actually MADE it to the series

Ya well I will have to Agree GO ILLINI AND CUBS!!!!! oh I heard this real good joke bout the cardinals I think I will share lol :) Ok theres this boy named Johnny and his parents abuse him(thats not the funny part i swear) so he has to leave his parents and so this kids in court and the judge is like so Johnny where do you wanna live? Do you wanna live w/ your aunt? He says no she beats me. Do you wanna live / your uncle? No he beats me too. Ok then where do you wanna live? W/ the cardinals cause they never beat anyone!!

Last time I heard that joke it was Cubs instead of Cardinals. Oh well, we'll see what happens when Prior & Wood get back... should be interesting to see if the Cubs can cut into the lead of the best team in MLB. :) (Yes, I know that the ChiSox currently have a better record.)

Hey, that's only ONE example. You need a bit more proof to back that statement up. Also, I will believe you win the Cubs win a WS!! :p Don't worry though, I don't hate the Cubs. They just aren't as good as the Cards or the Braves.

This is an old, old thread, but i must add to it.
1. If everyone on the cards hadn't been doin' weed, they could have beaten the chisox easily.
2. No Rolen, so i have an excuse for my Cardinals.
3. Sanders after the NLDS was higher than a kite!!!
4. The cubs will always lose
5. The Cardinals will always win
6. One Word: PUJOLS
7. Another: CARPENTER
8. Another dingy: Rolen will be back next year
9. Mulder crumbles under pressure (Just like Sugie in the Championship Game. LOL!!)
10. We'll sign another David Eckstein Guy
11. NO ONE CARED ABOUT THE WORLD SERIES
12. After that pujols moon shot in NLCS game 5 i thought the Cards were going all the way. But alas, Mulder can't throw and orange. (stupid Blonde Highlights)
13. The Cardinals Have made the playoffs in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005.
All the cubs got is found memories of Bartman. So the subs can sit and post, while i sit and watch next year's postseason (AKA The cards victory walk!!!)

^^ that's just dumb... and as to no1 caring about the World Series, YEAH RIGHT... that's what everyone cares about, that's what they wait for every season... and the Cubs will NOT always lose, and Cardinals fans are rude and are always going to make fun of Cubs fans because we are the ones that dont say stupid stuff all the time about stuff that they know nothing about, just let us be Cubs fans and we'll let you be Cardinals fans and leave it at that... sorry, this just had to be said

Look, the cubs hae some of the best fans in the world i know it. I really do hopw they do well and win it all someday. You can't hate them becasue everyone is soooo nice at wrigley. Even when i had a cardinal Jersey on. You guys deserve to win the world series more than anyone, and i really don't hate them Deesgirl11, i used to go to Cardinals-Cubs game at wrigley all the time, and i was always treated with respect, and so far you are the only one on these forums willing to stand up for lee, and that's one of the most honorable things a sports fan can do; be there for their team when their down. (Which i have not done for illinois)

i really do respect you for that, now can we all try to get along in time for basketball season??? :) :)
