With Tim Brasic already on line to be coach Ron Zook's starting quarterback, and with high-profile quarterback recruits on the way, Brad Bower has decided to look elsewhere for playing time.
Bower, who would have been a redshirt sophomore, will transfer to Ohio University, where he'll sit out the next season before becoming eligible in 2006. He'll have two seasons of college eligibility remaining.
Bower, who set 10 high school records at Hinsdale Central, appeared in seven games last season and completed 57 of 100 passes for four touchdowns and three interceptions.
