Illinois Loyalty is looking for a part-time writer to cover the 2005 Illinois football season.
This position would be ideal for someone who would like to gain sports writing experience by showcasing their work to a large audience of Illini fans each week.
Requirements:
2 posts per week minimum (there are 11 weeks in the season plus perhaps a bowl game). A preview of the week's opponent would be due on Tuesday, and a recap of the Saturday game would be due Sunday night. Posts consist of 200-600 words, containing commentary on the latest team news as well as links to outside stories.

Attending the games in person is helpful but not required. Past online blogging/publishing experience helpful but not necessary. HTML knowledge is not required. This is an unpaid position. In exchange for article publication we provide authors with signature space featuring bio, picture, and text link to their website (all optional).
