I know some people who have a number of tickets, but they're likely to want stubhub like prices (400 range) per ticket.

I can get you in touch if you're interested

I don't know if there are any student tickets left or if non-students can use them at the games (I assume they will be able to), but I could possibly go get one tomorrow if there are any left. If you are interested let me know, there was a huge line today at 1PM still, so I don't know if any are left and I don't know how long the line would be, but I could try to get one. PM me if you are interested. I don't need to make much off of it, but I don't want to stand in the cold for 4 hours to make $20, either. It's possible there is no line and I could just walk right in, but I sort of doubt it. Just let me know through PM what you want to spend. I think it's a first-come first-serve section with no assigned seats since it's student tickets.

If you don't find a ticket(s) from the board, check the classified in the LA Times under tickets, there should be a lot locally for sale from individuals. Also, since you live out there, drive out to the stadium, there will be fans/brokers unloading them before kick-off. IMO, the USC crowd will view this game as nothing special, another Rose Bowl, though the interest is tremendous with us. No guarantees, but I think tickets will be available, especially, if location is not a primary concern.

We had the B12 championship game here, I had two tickets, the broker gave me face value, because I have worked with him in the past. He told me, Ticket Master here had held a bunch of tickets back to see what the market would be for the game, when they learned the demand was down, they released them (put them into the computer) and 50 yd line seats at face value were available, a week before the game...people that had bought premium corporate packages a month ago had worse locations.

Right now, the feeding frenzy is on... the game is still a month away.

Good luck from a Vietnam vet... spent one day at Irwin, what a garden spot, if you like the desert. Airborne!!

Nice that you've still been posting messages here when you told me over the weekend you wanted my tickets. What gives? I emailed you regarding this, because if you are trying to search around for a better price, you should at least have the decency to be straight with people.

DON'T try to SELL to this guy. He's scammed or been fishy with at least two of us on this board.

No Ive been getting scammed!

That's BS and you know it. You told me you wanted the tickets on Saturday and said you would send the $$ by Monday and SWORE you wanted the tickets after I repeatedly expressed concern as to whether you really wanted them. Then I find out some unknown person "messaged" you and said I was a fake.

I know who's being fake, and it ain't me. If you don't want to buy tickets from people after you commit to buying, just say so. Don't yank people around. Check my posting for my eBay listing with feedback, or check the UIAA website to see if I'm a "fake." My reputation speaks for itself.

I'm not trying to get in a "nyah nyah" match with you, but I think people on this board should be aware that they should sell to someone they can trust, and you aren't it.

Now that I have sold mine elsewhere, I feel that I can be a fairly impartial 3rd party in this.

I had offered to sell my 2 tickets to you below face value (a net loss to me) as you claimed to be a soldier and Illini fan. I asked you to tell me how much you could afford to spend and we would work something out. Instead of being the slightest bit grateful and saying "thanks", your only reply was "Where are they located?" Beggars can't be choosers, dude. IF you are a soldier, then I still am appreciative of your service. But, I have to agree with uiba99, the way you've handled yourself in this situation has left a lot to be desired.

Im sorry If I have come off in a bad way through this but I have been disgusted with the amount of scalpers on here...some of the prices being offered were horrible for where the seats where...i dont believe in making a profit off of face value tickets

But I have learned from this and I just cant take a risk buying tickets sending my money and having tickets sent 2 or 3 days later....I just dont trust anyone to do that esp. with things ive heard

Just go down on game day and find someone trying to dump their tickets. It's very likely that you'll pay less than face value.

Same story with me, I offered to sell my tickets at face value not a penny more. I understand the hesitation to purchase anything through a message board, but to say your getting scammed. We have the same hesitation sending tickets 2000 miles away without any proof of payment. Luckily I have found someone local that can use the tickets and they were happy to buy them and I was able to hand deliver them.

And you didn't say boo about the price, which was $350 TOTAL for two tickets, including free overnight shipping. I would have come down if you'd asked me to, as I listed them on eBay for $310 for Buy It Now.

I made it clear from the start on this board that I wasn't looking to make a profit on fellow Illini. Your own behavior has been your downfall, and no, I still don't trust you. I'm just sorry I didn't sell to other people I could trust when I had the chance.:(

This is the last I am commenting about this issue. Good luck finding tickets from people who are in it for the money as opposed to giving tix to loyal Illini. I've learned not to trust anyone outside a monitored auction or internet transaction.
