Now, the guy DID do an album named Michigan before this one, and the cover says "Come on feel the Illinoise"...but I checked out the album today and it was excellent. I recommend it big time.

Anybody know about this guy?

i heard he played or is going to play c-u recently/soon. good album, great posters with everybody decked out in illini cheerleader outfits.

Ha. You'll laugh when you see the actual pix. This guy is on the folk singer tip where he's aiming for the kitsch angle with the cheerleaders. It's a fantastic album, though, if you're into that kind of stuff. His "Seven Swans" album is great too. I got that after hearing the Illinois one. "Illinois" is probably the best album of 2005, IMO.

Found a link to some pix. He calls his backup singers the "Illinoise Makers". I guess that's funny.
