Every week opening the Ron Zook rewind show is a Stadium update piece. More seats in both endzones, boxes both above the upper deck and what looks like between the main stands and upper deck on the score box side, buildings along First Street and more. Not to be negative or anything but we can't even sell out the Stadium for Homecoming. Do the poobahs think they can sell out thousands and thousands of extra seats and sky boxes? Steve

The update will actually decrease capacity by about 5k, due to the loss of seats on the west side. I like the renderings I've seen of the renovations.

Steve, I have to say yes to your question. If you are going to be a top program, you have to have a top stadium (read: why Minnesota will never be elite while playing in the Metrodome), and what they are going to do to Memorial Stadium is definetly an improvement. As for the seating, it is going to decrease but a couple thousand (I think 5 or so), but even if more seats were being added, with a better stadium and team, they will have no problem selling out more games. Remember, in 2001 we had a great season and packed Memorial every game, there is no reason that with a better team and stadium, we can't get back there.

Better team... Better team. It's like the only thought that runs through your head, JP... not that I don't agree with you..... Whatever happened to the damn ZOOK ERA?

LOL well the team has to be better! Not blaming Zook but seriously, the team sucks, needs to be better.
