Speaking of Illinois and The Ohio State University . . .
http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sportsstory.asp?id=113642
Illinois became the first Big Ten football program to get penalized since Wisconsin’s “Shoegate” problems in 2001. Meanwhile, Ohio State, which seems to have a problem every other month, hasn’t been hit with a major violation since 1978. In Columbus, apparently, where there’s smoke, there’s an NCAA fire truck to keep the status quo safe. And Illinois, which reported the violation to the NCAA and nipped the illegal behavior in the bud, got treated harshly for things that happened in Champaign during the mid-1980s and the mid-1960s.

Ah, the irony. We're the ones on probation playing at OSU. I think this one will lack the excitement of the Wisconsin game.

I don't want to play for a turtle.
How about, if we win, their second string defense has to transfer to Illinois.

I was encouraged by the defense today. Despite being terribly overmatched, they made some great stops and held the nuts to 13 in the first half.
I officially am impressed with Kevin Mitchell, Britt Miller and Sirrod Williams. All played great yesterday. And Rashard Mendenhall is going to be a gamebreaker next year. What a stud!I haven't seen a runner like him at Illinois... maybe ever.
