Well with the way we have been playing, I highly doubt we beat Purdue. Purdue beat Michigan State, and thats one of the teams who killed us this season. It would be great if we beat Purdue cause my b/f and his family are big Purdue fans and they keep saying Purde coming in and going to kick our ass, well hopefully they can prove them wrong

I'm attacking your weak opinion because this season's record isn't an indicator of Zook's coaching. We play with enthusiasm and that will translate into victories once we have players with the size and athletic ability to actually compete with the other guys in the Big 10.

Are you one of those people who thought Zook could fix this over night? Were you one of those people who thought Weber could never be Self? And at what point did you think Urban Meyer was such a great coach that he couldn't lose to South Carolina? If you are looking for blame, blame Ron Turner, not Zook. And no one said your opinions were dumb, they are just wrong. Zook gets a bye this season, if this is 3 years from now and we are still in the basement, I'll get right on the wagon with you but thats not the case this year. You could have Pete Carroll in the Orange and Blue and we would still be 2-8 so I'm missing your point. There really isn't a coach in the country that could do any better right now so blaming Zook like you are is really immature and just, well, wrong.

I like you for your quote :D but i have no problem rolling the dice with Zook...he brings in recruits and recruits will bring wins...lets be realistic here,i dont remember in my 25 year history as a fan, of the bar ever being set much higher than a hopeful for the Taco Bowl 2 for 99 cents Bowl and i dont see any reason why Zook cant take us to 4 or 5 of those per decade with an occasional BCS Bowl a real possibility....he brings in recruits and recruits bring wins...also, the UofI went to alot of trouble identifying his tenure as "the Ron Zook Era" so please dont undermine what is obviously already a done deal--give him 4-5 years and then if we arent a bowl eligible team most years he will be man enough to step down himself

My point in this...We have a young team, and while a 2-8 record isn't the perfect situation, I don't think it has that much of an effect on recruiting. Recruits will want to buy into Zook and our program over the long haul, and they know this season's record isn't a reflection of Zook's coaching talents. His job is to build a winning team, and he's doing that, in my opinion, by getting people excited about the team (I'm exited). So don't insult him by saying he shouldn't be here. It's rude b/c he hasn't had a chance to showcase anything yet.
