Found this on a Gamecock (http://mb20.scout.com/fsouthcarolina19141frm18) board, they're preping for the big "Spurrier" home game against Florida on Saturday.

After the 2001 "Blackout" game, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit said it was the loudest staduim he'd ever been to:

(Florida ended up winning the 2001 game big.)

Pretty cool! Would be nice to hear a stadium around here that loud some day, LOL. ;)

Great thread Dan.....the South Carolina Football intro is really unlike anything in all of sports IMO. 90,000 plus people in a loud, well designed stadium going insane as the old school music builds to a peak and the players charge the field. Gives me goosebumps and is another reason why college football is such a wonderful game (and why I can't wait for Zook to bring us back to prominence).

South Carolina shows tremendous support for the football program. 5-6 seasons ago they were 1-10 and still sold out every game, which is astounding.

Apparently they made some noise at on Saturday--
