got the new snooze-gazoo here in Champaign. Cover story has some interesting numbers on the team.
We can match the school record for Big Ten consecutive road wins on Saturday with 8
By the end of the season we could have 4 - 1,000 point scorers on the same team. Never before done.
Dee - 1,052
Luther - 941
Rog - 929
Deron - 857 (sans jaw injury last year it would be a lot closer)
20.2 is still our margin of victory - only finished with over 20 in a season 2 times before
15 - our current home winning streak - 9th overall in the nation (I hate you Purdue!)
5 - more point for James and all of our starters will be averaging double figues, last time was 87-88
3 - players already have won Big Ten player of the week honors (Rog, James, Dee) - previous record is 4 during the 96-97 season (Kevin Turner and Kiwane won it 3 times that year)
13 - consecutive Big Ten games won by Illinois - first time since 55-56 - record is 17 WAY BACK IN THE '14 to '16 seasons!!
51:02 - is now our time spent trailing in games - still pretty damn impressive
7 - after we beat NU - that is how may weeks we will have been number 1 - MOST SINCE Duke STARTED the season in 01-02. Also will be longest stretch for a Big Ten team since Bobby's boys of 75-76.
But of course UNC is still better, and Weber will probably lost Coach of the Year this year to Monson
That is all :D
