How many more seasons until he is run out of Lawrence?

I was sad to see him go, when he left, but it was probably one of the best things to happen to Illinois' basketball program.

wow...guess that stuff will happen when you've been taken to the woodshed more times than Eddie Haskell (Leave it to Beaver)

i notice in the picture coach self still wears the black casio ... although im sure it isnt the 2 for $9.99 variety.....does anyone know the casio story? Ill tell it in a day if nobody else comments on it but if you know it feel free to finish my thought....

about the watch-i thought he said his kid gave it to him for xmas one year.

but i digress. watching the phoggies meltdown last night was a thing of beauty.

and all the illini people logged in and lurking made it even funnier.

i definitely saw the asst throw the FBomb at Fazekas. After Bail went Mike Davis on the officials.

funniest stuff I had seen in a long time.

you are correct...it was about 2 games into Self's tenure at IL and at the Maui invitational a reporter (ESPN of course) trying to get a cheap laugh at Self's expense was doing his interview and said "whats that on your wrist? a Casio?? Coach you are making good money now in the Big 10 why dont you do like all well paid coaches do and buy a gold watch?" Without missing a beat Self answered this watch was a christmas gift from my daughter and i wouldn't trade it for 100 gold watches"
