He left more due to his role and Stalling's system. If we can sell the system and how he's a fit for it, I think we have a real good chance.

And the playing time. My god, the playing time!

From this article, it sounds like he left because he was going to be the Lone Ranger next year. 4 seniors graduating, 3 transfers and 1 kid dismissed from the team. Doesn't say anything about necessarily wanting Final Four chances or anything so maybe we do have a chance --although this tweet makes me think maybe they should just start listing the teams that aren't interested. It might be shorter.

Oregon & UCLA are the latest to get involved with Pitt transfer wing Cam Johnson, per source; immediately eligible with two years to play

A message to all the kids that want to play for big time schools but don't have the offers: redshirt as a freshman then graduate in three years.

Schools are acting like a supermodel just walked into the bar when a quality but not star player is immediately eligible with two years to play.

Let's be truthful most players of his caliber who transfer look to go to good programs who are for sure NCAA tourney teams. Lets be truthful he is good enough to play at any program in the country so playing time is not an issue. Not saying he won't come to the Illini but BU will have to really sell him on the program to get him here over some of the other programs showing interest in him

Meh. Not here I hope. Don't care if he goes to Mizzou.

Have to think Illinois is going to be MAJOR player for Charlie Moore. Former Mac Irvin Fire stud wants to go close to home.

I would like to think that but I can think of 2 schools that are even closer.

If we don't reach out to Moore, how about NW gets him?

How about not? I think DePaul would be a good place if he doesn't come here. NW is good enough as it is.

Oh the irony. One point guard (kind of) in five years and now five on one team.

Hmm. Let's see. We start recruiting Moore. It looks like we're getting him and then Cuonzo swoops in and he goes to Mizzou. Missouri is closer to home than California.

Not close enough for a hardship. Of course neither are we. Although Starks was a grandmother, not a father.
Whatever, I'd love to have Charlie.

I suggest we reach out to Moore, Smith, and Johnson and take whoever commit first (maybe 2). Leave the other schollies for the bigs.

If Smith and Johnson choose FF potential teams and Moore goes to NW, we are left with another Khalid Lewis/Jaylen Tate/nothing, that would be hilarious.

I understand that Moore does not fit BU's system well because he does not have much threat of cutting to the basket due to size. But Moore can spread the floor better than Tejon as a PG. They can be used in different situations and match-ups. If the game turns into a grinder, we can have Moore to make difficult shots in addition to JCL.
