Because of who he is, he'll be a magnet wherever he is as kids find out who he is. Kids will go him for the coaching aspect. And once they do that, the seed is planted, and watered by whatever success we have on the court. Yeah, it's a good place to have him

And it certainly helps when Dee Brown is always prefaced in this way.

Once again... we see the double standard of this board...... "If only we had pro illini guys coaching these kids"........ "oh, having Dee coaching AAU in chicago won't mean anything".... I just don't getyou guys

Dee Brown is 💯 . You don't have to ask someone to do what is in your blood. Not sure , but I think it's good for U I to have someone of his status in Chicago talking and teaching kids. At anytime or place.

You are right its not his job, but there is no doubt in my mind that he doesn't talk about the Illini all the time while coaching. It is just who Dee is. A lot say they bleed Orange and Blue, well with Dee its true

Might be some bad news on the Tilmon front soon.

I guess it's bad news if you're still expecting him to come here.

I'm not holding my breathe. this is from sources around the metro east area in tune with the recruitment. Things have trended to this slowly https://t.co/lk9Qto5yfY

Cosign. It's not even "news," really. But it's more than we've had lately from that front... which is, to say, nothing.

Yes, we've known for a while that he's not likely coming here.

Left UA circuit and De Sousa and Vipers. Another team to keep an eye on this weekend. Been watching Beal. Okoro a few rbs but with Garland and Thatch that ball doesn't get inside much. MIF play at 7 CT; MS at 8:30.

More with the sources, J T recruitment has turned into a circus. Now miznoz say they feel good about 17th? Obliviously the sources aren't identified, so more heresay. Hope to God that it's done on the 17th, this is getting old.

Okoro is intimidating on D though. Beal up 14 at the half over Team United and Trey McGowans from Charlotte, NC.

It was pretty much done the day he asked out of the LOI. Like Mo Bomba said that day -- just go ahead and say you're going to Missouri already.

Jontay is definitely a beast but with MOKAN up 3 he just badly missed 2 FTs that would have salted the game and Southern Stampede hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it to OT. Something to keep in mind for a future Braggin Rights game.

Even worse, I didn't realize the kid who hit the 3 got fouled.
D1 Circuit‏ @D1Circuit 2m2 minutes ago
Drue Drinnon just hit a three and got fouled as time expired. He knocks down the FT. The @Southstampede will upset @MokanBasketball 54-53.

Let's not get carried away here, but in terms of his style and versatility does THT have a little Draymond Green in his game?

Would say our best class possibility at this point would be

Frazier, Williams, Smith with Agau, Alstork and McIntosh, unless we actually carry over 2, that would be if we land a big only thought I think?

To be honest I don't watch enough pro ball to say but I have seen that said by others on other boards. THT is a swiss army knife player, so if that's Greens' game, yes you could say that.

I've watched quite abit of Warriors ball these past 2 years...THT seems to be just as good a shot maybe, aggressiveness as well, ball handling, below at this point, confidence not even close, but I am not sure many others are as well....Green is something else for sure.

THT down the baseline for a reverse layup just like Ed Morrow taught him. Fire tied 5-5 with The Family.
