PSU came down here last year, Alamo Bowl, 4-4 in the BT. With a 6-6, 4-4 in the BT and the way our fans travel, IMO we get a bowl, and it is not the one in Detroit. What does the BT get, 7 or 8 post season bowls: BCS bowl, Rose, Capital, Outback, Alamo, Champs, Insight, and Motor City. Purdue, IU, and Mich are out, and there is, what a 4 team lock at 3-3 in BT. This is naturally all moot, if we don't beat either, OSU or NW. AI |

I first thought of this on a whim, but after WMU loss I really think there is something to it. If I'm right than this weekend does not look good. |

Don't know the score, but either we continue the collapse or we continue the "win-loss" trend.
Although I'm going to want to watch us WIN when I'm in Evanston in two weeks. ![]() I'm gonna go with the upset. Heart over head. __________________ My permanent state of being. |

Here's a link to the Ohio State student newspaper, The Lantern. They are running a "pick the winner" poll for all of this week's B10 games. We need to stuff the ballot box for the Illini. Vote early, vote often!

The loss to Western Michigan was devastating. I hope I'm wrong, but:

This is supposed to be the week we play well, but I fear the worst. I know Ohio State remembers last year very well and is looking to give the Ilini a beat down.
If you are going, please attend the "Next Dance" and support the Chief regardless of the game's outcome. |

So far, Illinois has tended to play to the level of its opposition. Not this week, I'm afraid. A winning season is rapidly fading away. It's not possible they finish 5-7, is it? IS IT?

Tour of Big Ten stadiums
Hello. I am with a group of OSU fans coming to the Illinois vs OSU game and we were trying to find a good website to get advice on places to eat, bars to go to, etc. I thought bigtennetwork.com would have something, but they really dont.
So, does anyone have any suggestions on places we should go for food, drinks, or anywhere else you think it is important to see. I appreciate the help! |

On campus stay on Green St and check out Legends or Murphys. If you're around at night and prefer the college scene, stay around the Green+Sixth area (Brothers, Firehaus), or for non-campus check out downtown Champaign and make the rounds to Blind Pig on Walnut, Guidos on Main, and Boltini on Neil. Have a great trip. |

Hey guys, maybe I'm just out of the loop, but why are so many people saying that you need to keep the Illibuck for two years? If you win on Saturday, you keep it until we play again in 2009 on September 26th to open the Big Ten football season. The only Big Ten teams that Ohio State doesn't play in 2009 and 2010 are Michigan State and Northwestern. Ohio State and Illinois do not play each other in 2011 and 2012. Of course, if you mean that you want to keep Illi for two years as in for the second year in a row, that makes more sense. Either way, I am glad that tOSU and Illinois are playing when Illinois is on the rise. Should make for some more exciting games.
Can't wait to see the Robiskie - Davis and the Jenkins - Benn matchups this Saturday. You could see those matchups on Sundays. Oh, and BuckeyePlanet did their game preview for Saturday. Always a good read and, compared to other websites, relatively objective. Last edited by daveeb; Nov 13, 2008 at 12:07 PM. |

Well we still don't have it yet. You get illy the year after you win it-for another year. On saturday, we will get it passed to us for a year, since we won it last year. So if we win Saturday, it will stay with us another year after next. If we win 3 in a row against OSU, (next year too) the we would have it for a while (since we wont be playing them in 11 or 12). I think I did that right. It's all in the article
