Reading this quote from JH makes it seem more likely that the rumors that he fed the egos of his recruits have some merit to them.

Why would that give the rumors any merit? Just sounds like he was concerned about it possibly happening in the future because initially they know him better.

Notice I said may give them some merit, and not proves the rumors. There is a difference.

i have a feeling that when smu hits the big east in 2013 they will be good, also think that they will have a top 5 recruiting class if not the number 1, as theres a ton of texas players in the 13 class, they get Crandall and that Turner from arizona will help, also look for that Jordan Clarkson to look there

If he is eligible scholastically, he would be eligible second semester (January 2013...if SMU is on a semester system). NCAA requires you sit one year, and he withdrew before the second semester.

My understanding is that he wasn't enrolled in school anywhere this Spring and that he was already behind academically. If so, I think it will be very difficult for him to meet progress requirements to be eligible January.

Sounds like JHow didn't close the door on coming back some day. Hopefully he can come back, win a NC or 10 and move on to the NBA.

I doubt JH will return to Illinois.

As for Crandall, good luck if he gets an offer from SMU. Were I those guys, I'd be thinking long and hard before opening that door.

Turner had a tumultuous first season with the Wildcats, getting suspended multiple times before being dismissed from the team for off-court issues. He was also arrested by campus police last week and charged with extreme DUI. As Goodman has said, though, if Brown could handle Allen Iverson, Turner should be a walk in the park.

If you were wondering what "extreme DUI" is, it is apparently specific to Arizona law and reflects a BAC over .150.

Understood, however I would say Luther would have been on even shakier ground after his suspension early in his career...that one turned out ok
