I've personally never used it, but think it's ridiculous that it's not legal. Should be regulated exactly the same as alcohol.

Yeah regardless of what we all think about it's legal status, it's something that Mikel needs to do right. It could mess with his career. Not worth it.

Being dumb and stupid can mean two different things. This was a stupid thing to do. Man, if your in a position like that, you CAN'T do stupid things. Blessed people doing stupid things is the worst thing to see.

Getting busted with weed is one thing, not showing up for the arraignment and having a bench warrant issued against you is completely another.

You're right. Dumb would mean that you got busted twice within a relatively short amount of time......oh wait.....

Ryan Leaf - Really Dumb
Mikel LeShoure - Dumb

I have no feelings one way or the other on the status of the drug. However, if you are using it, you should be not dumb enough to not get caught so often.

True story from our local court system. Friend calls this guy and asks him for some weed. Guy jumps in $40,000 pick-up to take his buddy the weed. Not a drug sale. Just helping out a friend. Somehow gets busted while driving over and loses his truck because used to transport weed.

Earlier this week a retired Wisconsin game warden was on a public radio show. He was cautioning hikers, hunters, and outdoors people to be careful if they happen upon a marijuana field deep in the woods. Apparently those in the drug business are growing weed in remote parts of publically owned or paper company woodland. In northern WI there's endless acres of this land. The growers are armed, camp on the land they farm, do plenty of environmental damage with fertilizers and garbage and might shoot you.

Legalize it and all this stuff goes away.

Not sure I agree, but I can't prove it. All I know is the "legal" trade in California is a joke. Seemed like every corner I walked around in the LA area and there was someone smoking. For medicinal purposes only of course. I'm talking about people stepping out of their job just for a smoke. I just wonder how making it even easier than that is beneficial to society as a whole. I understand it gets rid of the guys pizzaman was talking about. Then again, maybe everyone grows their own (legally) and protects it just the same. I have no idea how cheap it would be if were legal.

Ever been to Venice Beach? That's how I picture it would be.

Anyway, I hope ML is able to put this behind him and have a great career.

Why, even legalized people will grow, protect their crop with weapons, and do damage to the environment.

As for Mikel. Just stop smoking the darn stuff. Did it all throughout college and got away with it. Cant do the same in the pros. Do what you want after your career.

C'mon, if it's legal its no different than tomatoes or corn. You don't need to hide deep in the woods to cultivate a legal crop.
