well the 2 Chicago teams are leaving Peach Jam early. Disappointing and I'm sure the Fire will blame it on the injury.

I would say that Hill is still considered a recruit until he officially signs on the dotted line. Verbals are nice, but mean little until they sign.

So is Marquette now becoming our recruiting nemesis? They steal Chow, beat us out for McKay and now may beat us for Nunn. They also have offers out to XRM and Kyle Davis. Though I suppose if they get Nunn that would rule out the latter two.

The Fire always have been, and always will be, a hot mess. They look great in the dunking line during warm-ups, but they ALWAYS underachieve. I wish all of our recruits came through the Illinois Wolves program. Now that's a first-class operation.

The article Parkie linked said Carrington w/ a "C" and a PF. I think you are right it is Karrington w/a "K" and he's a wing not a PF. This would mean we're not confident finding a '013 HS wing, right??
This is the Lockport kid, right? |

If they want Carrington, it must be because he is really good. I remember seeing him at the all star game in Bloomington last summer, and I thought he was athletic but I didn't give him too much thought since I was there to watch UI recruits. He must have improved a lot this past year. |

There appears to be a Carrington Ward (from Philadelphia) and Karrington Ward (Lockport, IL) out there. I assume this article meant to reference Karrington Ward from Lockport and just misspelled his name?

The article I linked does spell Karrington's name with a "C"...their mistake because Karrington does spell his name with a "K", at least according to the article Cody Westerlund wrote about him several weeks back http://www.illinihq.com/blogs/recrui...ois-visit.html. I incorrectly called him a PF; he is a wing...my mistake.
A bit more on Tyler Ennis and his backcourt mate of Xavier Rathan-Mayes: Quote:

I think this is probable if we are not on Nunn's trimmed list in early August or if there is a great suspicion that we won't be before he releases the list.
I feel that we will be in his top 3 (Marquette, Ill, and UCLA), but will ultimately lose out. At this point, I think I'd rather have Ward (especially since he seem to really want to come here...I feel like we are more a safety school for Nunn) |

Would love to see both Tyler Ennis and Xavier Rathan-Mayes come here. We can always dream.

Does he even have an offer? I thought we were not recruiting him.

I stated in a earlier post the same thing. I will dream even bigger and say we then may be able to get Wiggins #1 prospect 2014 who is looking to reclassify. I don't know Ennis and R-M's relationship with Wiggins but all are Canadian and play for the same AAU team.
