#teamVulture or #teamRobinhood?

Steal from the a-holes, give to the hungry.

Also, if you haven't already, check out the teamVulture twitter handle linked by KJKobs above. Pretty hilarious stuff. I especially like the Hunger Strike reference

SHG consistently sends players into B1G schools. One per year, I'd say. What happens to them once they get there is not up to Coach Leonard. I could be off, but I am pretty sure all of them considered Illinois in their recruiting.

Eric Peterman was decent.

Regardless, SHG is a great school to have a relationship with.

I knew something good was going to happen soon. When I got home from work and my 10 month old daughter said her 4th word... a lot of repeating myself to her but she has finally said "Chief"... well more like "Sheef" but hey, it works for me! Proud Papa

Welcome to the family Ryan... Go Illini!

That's some crazy loyalty there! I like it!

I hope @TeamVulture is an IL poster. He's certainly got the logo chops.

Only one I can think of is Mitrione...and that's been longer than 10 yrs.

Mike McGee was the last regular player. Peter Christofilakos was the last player from SHG that started. Alex Reavy walked on, but never really played.

Mitrione played at Purdue

Not to nitpick, but the last regular was Josh Norris, who I think came in as a walk-on. And Eric Peterman would have played here.

Just wondering if anyone has heard where we stand with Josh Augusta lately?

Yeah, it was thought around here that it was basically a done deal that he would commit to Oregon on one of his next visits after he was offered... Hasn't happened yet. Wonder if we have gained momentum? Maybe?

our defense will be loaded with talent if we get Augusta and Banks....loaded!!!!! but i hope if we do end up getting them that....we switch our focus solely on Offense

Getting those two would be absolutely unreal. I think our chances are much better with Augusta then Banks but if for some reason we landed both one or two of the DBs we have now would for sure flip to offense.

What about the James kid from Florida? Impressive offer list and I see we are top 3. Any word on him lately? Looks like a monster.

Next step is probably getting James and all the other kids from far away scheduled for official visits. Judging by how Golesh has done so far, he's probably already got them set up

I think I read that we actually lead for him.

Klachko could signal reopening of pipeline

"There were a lot of offensive linemen at Nebraska," Leonard said. "He felt that his shot to play sooner was going to be better (at Illinois).

"I think it's close and I think it looks good. I encouraged him to go there."

Next guy would probably be a 2014 WR Malik Turner, still a while to see how he develops though.
