I like it a lot.

I like Romo a lot, especially where you can typically draft him. Ray Rice is a beast, and while Lynch was last year I still am worried about him especially so high. I tend to prefer having more RB depth, and I like my flex being a RB usually.

Your starting WRs are great, Marshall is going to have a huge year. Colston is always great, and Bowe is healthy and looks to have 10+ TDs again.

I really love Gates this year, he is finally healthy and Rivers will look his way a ton.

I just finished up the first of my four drafts. This is the league that has no flex, and gives you a new draft position every 2 rounds. It was annoying as I was typically either picking 9 or 10 every draft position refresh... but it is what it is. 12 team league:

QB - Philip Rivers (will just hit waivers for a backup when needed)
RB - Matt Forte, Darren Sproles, BenJarvus Green Ellis, Michael Bush, Alfred Morris, Mike Goodson, Bilal Powell
WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Hakeem Nicks, Torrey Smith, and Randy Moss
TE - Fred Davis, Jared Cook
DEF - Ravens
K - Mason Crosby

Rivers screwed me last year in one league, but he turned it on the last 6 or so games, and having a healthy Gates will do wonders imo. Getting him in the 7th iirc was a no brainer.

As I stated above, I love to stockpile RBs and hope some pan out. I like Forte a lot, I handcuffed with Bush and could play together. I feel I reached a bit for Sproles, but needed another RB and he will get a consistent 8-12 points per game at least. I like Green Ellis for TDs and if Benson can get 1000+ yards, no reason he can't. Powell is one of my favorite sleeper RBs, same with Goodson since DMC is so injury prone. Alfred Morris might be the starter, he might not play. Screw Shannahan.

Larry Fitz is always a beast, Nicks dropped to the 5th round so he was value, and I think Torrey Smith is in line for a big time season. Moss was there 14th round, was worth a flier.

I waited for a TE until the 9th, and this RG3 will be looking Fred Davis way a lot. Cook was a flier at the end in the 15th round.

QB - Brady
RB - Run DMC, Steven Jackson
WR - Steve Smith (CAR), Stevie Johnson
FLEX - Frank Gore
TE - Aaron Hernandez
D/ST - Texans
K - who cares

Bench:
QB - Flacco
RB - DeAngelo Williams, Pierre Thomas
WR - Desean Jackson, Randy Moss, Nate Washington.

If DMC and Gore can stay healthy I think I have a pretty good team. Thanks in advance!
^^This is my team that I mentioned earlier and I proposed this trade to another guy in our league:

Brady and Steven Jackson

for

Romo, Forte, and Marshall

Thought? It's a ppr league.

I would do it in a heartbeat if he would do it at first glance.

I'm just a little scared of Romo. Brady put up 100 more points than him last year.

I'd wait until at least the end of the first week. Romo could easily get off to a bad start, as Witten is out and Miles Austin / Dez Bryant are questionable for week 1. You may be able to get him for even less if he puts up a bad week or 2 to start the season.

Yeah true...only problem is I play the guy week one so if Forte and Marshall go off on a bad colts D and romo does well then I'm screwed on a couple fronts.

Solid team considering how you got rooked in draft positioning.

I think Michael Bush is one of the best fantasy sleepers in the league this year. I play a flex in my league and one of my strategies going in is to draft Bush as my flex. He's going to be the vulture of the NFL this year and is a Forte injury away from being a 3 down back on a very good offense. I think the production of Hakeem Nicks is the key to you having an excellent team.

Just finished up my 2nd of 4 drafts. This is a 12 team league, pretty standard scoring and set up (has a flex etc). The only difference is a good amount of bonus points for 100+, 200+ rushing/receiving, 300+ passing, long TDs etc.

QB - Phillip Rivers
RB - Ray Rice, Fred Jackson, Doug Martin, Cedric Benson, Ryan Williams
WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, Kendall Wright
TE - Antonio Gates, Jason Witten
DEF - Bears
K - Rob Bironas

Had the #2 pick and took Ray Rice after Foster went #1. Fitz dropped to me at #23. Went with Fred Jackson 26. Took Gates with my 4th pick. Took Martin with my 5th pick (I easily had the strongest group of RBs at this point). In the 6th went with Austin over Maclin, too good of a value. Went with Rivers in the 7th, where once again I felt too good of a value. 8th I had to take Benson as he was the only probable starter left at RB, and took Witten on the turn in the as the value was too high and will trade him.

10th reached a bit with Rice, but I needed a backup WR and who knows if he gets healthy, took Bears D with my 11th. I took Ryan Williams in about 2 seconds with my 12th, then took a flyer on Wright at WR instead of Greg Little, who knows. Then took my kicker.

On paper, I am pretty excited. This is a good league too, a lot of guys who do the research. It is just one of those that "fell to me" how I wanted.

I love your team. Especially the combo of Rice, Jackson, and Martin. Those three RB's together are fantastic. I might've drafted a different WR than Sidney Rice, maybe someone like Michael Crabtree or Anquan Boldin. Bironas is a good kicker, DA bears are a great defense, and Rivers is a solid QB. I'd pick up someone like Russel Wilson off waivers though for a backup. Great squad, man.

Here's my team in a 12-team league where RB/WR get 6 pts/td and QB get 4 pts/td. I had the 7th pick in a snake draft

QB: Brees, Freeman is my backup
RB: Jamaal Charles, Donald Brown, Hillis, Helu, Vereen
WR: Bryant, Miles Austin, DeSean Jackson (likely my flex), Malcolm Floyd, Davone Bess
TE: Gronkowski, Jared Cook
D/ST: Broncos
K: Jason Hansen

Obviously I'm thin at RB, but hoping the Charles/Hillis combo holds us and Brown becomes the feature back in Indy. Also hoping Bryant and Austin can stay healthy and have breakout seasons.

That's a really nice team if there are 10+ teams in your league.

I've been playing for 7-8 years but have to consider myself a novice compared to most of you folks. I play in a simple old salary cap league with a few friends and family for fun and bragging rights. I keep saying that someday I'll try a draft or auction league but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I just don't have the time right now to get too involved.

In our league you start with 100 mil and have 9 slots to fill. Prices are based on last 2 years performance and can fluctuate from week to week based on performance the previous week. Rookies and guys coming off injuries are priced pretty low no matter who they are, so I usually look there first. I had Trent Richardson at one RB at first but his knee scared me away for now. Also gonna keep an eye on Doug Martin and Justin Blackmon and see what happens there. AJ Green and Julio Jones served me well last year.

Six points for TD passes so that automatically makes the QB the most important position, but you also have to consider value. Aaron Rodgers is the most expensive player right now at 30.19 mil and Brees and Brady are right behind him. Peyton Manning is at 10.87 mil and is priced behind some pretty pedestrian QBs, including a couple of backups. I'm going with Manning, at least for now.

I don't play matchups as much as I used to, except with Def/ST and during bye weeks. I try to put up a team that I think will be balanced and consistent throughout the year and then tweak it from week to week based on injuries, byes and sometimes performance. Here's my team so far:

QB P. Manning
RB R. Rice
RB D. McFadden
WR Julio Jones
WR A. Brown
WR ???
TE J. Graham
K Justin Tucker
D/ST Houston

My other WR will be either Larry Fitzgerald, AJ Green or Victor Cruz. I'm leaning towards Fitzgerald, but just wondering what you guys think. Thanks.

I got a lot of crap for picking Romo in the 2nd round, but after one week it looks like a good pick. I'm in three different league, but I only consider one of them to matter. My team:

QB1: Romo
QB2: Peyton
RB1: CJ
RB2: Stevan Ridley
WR1: Mike Wallace
WR2: Victor Cruz
TE1: Jermichael Finley
FLEX: Jared Cook OR Denarius Moore OR Michael Crabtree
Defense: Seattle

It's only a 1QB league but I had to mention I picked Peyton up late (8th round or so). I'm hoping he returns to his former greatness this season.

Cruz had a couple drops for me last night in the first half and a very very quiet second half. Luckily Romo's second half more than made up for it. Other than the pick-almost 6 Romo was outstanding for me.

I believe im going to go 3-1 this week. Maybe 4-0 if AJ Green (PPR), Green-Ellis, and Janikowski can outscore Ray Rice by 26 tomorrow night.

Alfred Morris was a solid pickup for me this week, have him on 3 of my teams but only played him in 1.
