If you look at who he follows, he is definitely NOT an Illinois basketball fan. He is most definitely an Indiana basketball fan -- which makes him a fairly typical Indiana college sports fan.

I'm not sure why people would doubt BTF. Until he is proven wrong multiple times, he has provided nothing but credible information, and that alone merits trust. I understand skeptical, worried, anxious, but he is providing honest and valuable information as far as he knows. Appreciate it BTF!

Been watching this thread for a couple days and I find it comforting that I might not be the biggest basket case among Illini fans.
Regardless of what DJ chooses I feel it is necessary to draw a distinction between what opportunities reside at each program. Mike Brey has done an admirable job at ND. He has routinely been competitive and has sustained success in what was previously a tough league. Likely he will maintain the same level of success in the ACC. I don't think there are any reasonable expectations that Brey is going to take ND to the next level. Basically he's peaked at ND, but in no way should that observation be construed to diminish what he has done or his talents as a coach. I don't think John Groce is particularly interested in being routinely competitive, maintaining a decent level of success in the B1G. I suspect he is planning for bigger and better things. He's looking for some recruits who will be part of that. His energy, attention to detail, and people skills suggest he is well capable of exceeding the Illini's past level of achievement. If DJ doesn't accept his offer he will have moved on before the words quit echoing. If DJ opts for ND then there will be some other quality pg who will be salivating at the prospect of playing for Coach Groce and with Nunn, Hill, Morgan, etc. It would be great if DJ came to UI and I suspect he knows that but if he doesn't I have a hard time thinking it will leave any bruises. It will be like a footprint on the beach that washes away with the next wave. |

If you scroll through his pics, one has a pic of him with his address on it. Time to hunt him down if he's toying with us.

Another thing to consider is if DJack was going to ND would he really challenge Illini fans and ND fans to compete on his twitter? Pretty sure he knew who was going to win that one... If he knew he was going to pick ND, that would be a strange thing for him to do.
Add that to him following the Illini recruiting page on twitter and I think we have ourselves a point guard for 2013. Pessimism be damned!! It's a new era!!

Also, a quick scroll to last March shows no UI/Weber/coaching tweet, but multiple tweets referring to IU/Crean as we during all their games.

If D Jay picks ND, does that mean BTF is "wrong" about anything. He is doing nothing but saying "Someone close to the situation told me he is confident we have Jackson coming."
BTF is not predicting or telling us that HE, HIMSELF is absolutely sure Jackson is coming. |

![]() Even though I'm Irish and Catholic, I HATE Notre Dame. I was there at the Cubby Bear when my husband told off Digger Phelps over his support of Samscum and the La Phonso Ellis debacle. I also remember when ND beat the Illini in FB in 1968?, pouring it on like 63-0. With that said, I have a very good feeling ( no inside info) that Illinois is due. DJax is going to put on the orange and blue hat. I believe in and trust Coach Groce to get this done.

BTF, if you look at the SI cover closely it is more of a "Da Vinci" code effect. Several of the fans standing in the stadium have bodies shaped like an "I"! All signa point to C-U!

My prediction for tomorrow. A great new film called "Nutpunch City Limits", with Jonathon Brown as the "Fighting Illini", and co-star Patrick Ward of NW as the "Fighting Irish." Greatest ending to a movie ever...
