I usually am on the basketball side of things but a local kid by where i live is a RB named dre brown. He is a beast and is high on the illini. I have been hearing he is going to transfer to mount carmel. If he does, he is going to blow up on the recruiting radar. Hes a good kid hopefully we get in early on him.

Speaking about Leos for rivals shows offer for Kyle Kragen a juco from nocal. I like he, is already playing a type of leo, picture the way the Bears use Mc Cellin. He mostly rushes but lines up a multiple postions. Very instintive, plays like his hair is on fire has moves and counters. List as 6 3 245 questions he is that big he needs our weight room but he runs well with above average qickness and burst. Needs to get a little stronger.

Just watched tape on s/cb Esston Al-quad juco out of cali. This guy impressed should be able to play any of the db slots. Smooth hips, tight coverage, excellent ball skills, playmaker, nasty and big hitter. Very very good speed, strength and quickness very high 3*
Scouts show him with our offer. |

Using rivals, scouts, espn and 24/7, we would have about 20 juco offers out. Rivals shows about 15 the rest come from the other sources so the actual total of offers is open to interpation

Actually watched Esston Al_uqdah tape yesterday after the spotting him listed on scouts. I really like this guy. He has very very good physical tools. A playmaker, nasty, big hitter, smooth hips and covers very well. Somewhere between a very 3 star or low 4 star.
I would love to Al-Uqdah, Kondolo, Cajuste, and just a little less Smithburg commit. If possible 2 of 3 from Meline, Ambles, Strong, all the jucos. |

Great News from Niles.
Im glad coach Beckman was talking to him about how things wont change over night and how they need guys like him to change the culture to a winning program. I like how: 1. Beckman explained his rebuilding of Illinois football. 2. Love even more how Niles understood it all and still, even with the team struggling, understands it and could possibly want to be a part of it. |

Ok. We are officially recruiting Marcus Ball as a free safety. And the headline says, "Marcus Ball high on Illini after Official Visit". He then says in the article that the visit was "amazing".
So I'm guessing his visit went well this weekend? Bad news this was visit #1. He still has Wisconsin and ASU coming up. But playing as a true freshman seems to be his biggest concern which no doubt helps us. Last edited by quhawks12; Nov 12, 2012 at 08:45 AM. |

This is a huge plus for this years class. Need as many guys here early and ready to contribute as possible. Seeing early enrolees is making me sad about Tajarvis again though

Getting them on campus ASAP is great, really helps get them ready for playing next year (probably will need a lot of this class to play next year).

I would think that if we getting that many in here early that they feel confident in getting some of those JUCO players no?

Nah...we want the freshman OL to RS. We need guys like Boles, Durkin, Flavin, Karras, McDowell, O'Connor, Afryl, Cvijanovich, Heitz, Hill, Bain and Spencer to step up. Oh and any JUCO's...they will be ready to play hopefully.
That's a pretty big group of 2 star and 3 star OL on our roster. Hopefully we can find the right combo. I'm predicting that our guards next year are Karras and Bain. |
