If I were rbachhuber, I'd just make 2 versions, 1 with DJ and 1 without.

I have a doctor appt. at 4pm tomorrow, so the update will be a little late. But, I'm sure everyone will be reading the "DJax Commits to the Illini" thread, so no one will notice.

The Illini have offered 2013 power forward Ben Moore out of Bolingbrook High School. I added him to the grid.

So one scholly open in 2013 and one more in 2014. If someone transfers (likely to be one), then perhaps two in 2013 and one more in 2014. There is certainly some talent, but few difference makers so far. Does Groce sign an elite player in 2014, or do we put all our chips on 2015... Groce's 4th season at Illinois?

That's a really tough call. I'd say if you can get a top 15, KBD or CA type use one. If not, wait and see if the RSmith-Groce connection can be parlayed into a Matthews-Williams class. I am of the opinion that at least one scholarship in the next two years opens up to make this a lot easier decision. At the end of this season there is going to be at least a couple guys not happy with their PT if not more. We just have too many good players for that not to happen.

Based on information posted in the recruiting thread, I've removed Sterling Brown and Demetrius Henry as 2013 prospects. Apparently we have not been recruiting them for some time.

Do you keep the historical rosters on there? Any idea when we last used up all 13 scholarships in a season (without handing one out to a preferred walk on, ala Jeffery Jordan)?

I suppose it still isn't a given we use all 13 next year, but it sure isn't a bad idea using them up!

The earliest one I can find is 2007 - 2008. All 13 scholarships were used, but two were redshirts -- Jamar Smith and Alex Legion. Walk-ons were Trent Meacham, Steve Holdren, Jeff Jordan, and Chris Hicks.

I'm wondering when our grid got so out of whack. 5 open schollies this year and 6(!) in 2015? That's simply too many rides to be trying to fill all at once.
