That's interesting. Just read an article on comcast sportsnet quoting Cliff Alexander, saying, Mich St & Kentucky are basically 1 and 2 on his list along with Baylor. Disappointed that UCLA & N Carolina havn't offered him yet. Said it's a 70% chance that he & Ohkafor will play together in college. No mention of Illini by him. |

I am surprised Simeon doesnt have a gym renovation so they can fit 10,000 fans in.

No reason to worry about it yet we are behind but not out of it IMO. Plenty of time left in that one. __________________ @TomCrean: I am doing great. I have been thinking about you alot since last weekend. A whole lot. How are you doing? |

Interesting opinion regarding D.J. Williams. I thought the consensus was that Charles Matthews was the better prospect. Either way, that class looks loaded. Would be tremendous if JG could reel in both.

Having Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate recruiting them hard almost daily is definitely going to work heavily in our favor.

It would be great if Okafor went Illini and whomever got Parker ended up with the second best player in Illinois...ha..would serve both of them right...effin carpetbagger coach and a kid who thinks he's too big time for the Illini ...nothin like good old fashioned sports venom!...keeps the arteries clear. Go Illini

Nunn sounds like a perfect pleyer/personality for Groce's system.
The Alexander/Okafor stuff is lip service. Neither is coming to Illinois. |

Alexander and Okafor are highly doubtful, but I will say we def have more of a chance with Groce than we ever would have had with Weber. You never know if we have one of those "dream" seasons that no one expected. I will worry about that after we are halfway through the B1G schedule. I want to be optimistic about this team going forward, but I have no idea what to think/believe. __________________ @TomCrean: I am doing great.
