Ohio State & Michigan games have sold out.
There was one sellout all season in 2011-12. Quote:

It's a hard decision: spend $130 for two tickets now for the Indiana game, or wait until January to see if any cheaper options arise...

Great to hear. Sounds like the casual fans are starting to buy back in, and that's a necessity. I'm a little surprised the IU game isn't sold out, but at the same time I have no doubt that it will be.

Very bored at work, so here are my predictions for game attendances this year (rankings are current AP):
vs. #7 OSU ... 16,618 (sellout) <--- Already sold out vs. #13 Minn. ... 16,235 <--- Close, but not a sellout vs. NU ... 16,125 <--- Relatively weak opponent, and many fans will save up for bigger games vs. #2 UM ... 16,618 (sellout) <--- Already sold out vs. UW ... 16,618 (sellout) <--- Fans will be excited to beat UW vs. #6 IU ... 16,618 (sellout) <--- Biggest rivalry game vs. a top ten team vs. PU ... 16,618 (sellout) <--- After the excitement of beating IU vs. PSU ... 15,893 <--- Weak opponent vs. UNL ... 16,469 <--- Senior Day but also a weak opponent |

Follow-up on the availability of tickets for the Indiana game: looks like C-46 is the only section left. When I added as many tickets as I could to my cart for fun, after about 20 tickets available in C-46, it said "unable to secure tickets at this level." I e-mailed the Illini ticket office, and they confirmed that there are very, very few tickets left for this game. Looks like C-46 or bust for those looking for tickets.

For students that don't read their email from the university, there is a $12 student ticket deal for the Northwestern game next week. If you don't have season tickets and are a student this is a great chance to go see this team play.

There's a new ticket mini-pack deal-
Tickets for Purdue + Penn State + Nebraska games = $50. Quote:

Keep buying these tickets up, locals! Fan support has been very good once again since Conference play has started. I know it will be packed, Orange and rocking vs. Michigan this weekend.

Just poking around StubHub... there are still decent tickets to the game vs Indiana for around $38 or $39. Pack the hall!

Loren Tate talking with Jason Heggemeyer right now on WDWS. Some points they touched on:
- Heggemeyer says there are about 2,000 tickets left for the Wisconsin game. - Most likely, both the Badgers and Hoosiers games will sell out (hopefully) - They're trying to sell out the Purdue, Penn State, and Nebraska with that 3-pack deal. - "We're at our lowest point in student turn-out in the past 6 or 7 years, but you have to take this with a grain of salt." Surprised at the low student turnout. I wonder if that is the case around the country.

Being a student in the orange crush, I did the flat rate and it is very expensive. Even the student tickets are too. If they could make the prices more student-friendly, more would come. Also, the student section is small. Right now students that wait in line for hours somtimes aren't guaranteed a seat if they are all taken, they say sit in the reserved seating at your own will. Cannot wait for the renovations, there will be so much more student seating.

Wow....I just realized that all 3 of the great mini-pack deal games were home losses. What looked to be like a great deal turned out to be a bad deal for ILL-INI fans that were hoping to see some W's.

It is interesting to note that Block-I was the biggest its ever been this year, along with Illini Pride being the largest it has ever been, but Orange Krush was way down as far as membership goes. |

Yes, so many perks it is crazy. Plus, Orange Krush has 16 home games this year and maybe more if we are in the NIT.

Is Indiana or Wisconsin sold out yet?

Not yet, but Indiana is close. Wisconsin won't be unless they have a surge of ticket purchases in the last 48 hours. In other words, both are close, but neither are quite a sellout yet.

Regarding the Big ten tourny
Do they ever sell session only tickets? I can only make the Saturday game or Sunday game due to work. I would rather see Sat for a better chance to see Illinois but also 4 other good teams instead of the 2 on Sunday (unless its Illinois). Is my only option stub hub? __________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by ChiSoxIllini82; Feb 8, 2013 at 11:36 AM. |
