On illini-nation a poster seems to think that a Division I point guard is currently unhappy with their current school and looking to transfer to CU.....saying that he was a recent true point gaurd out of the Chicago area....anyone think there could be an ounce of truth to this?? I wouldn't even see the point seeing that they would have to sit out next season and then we will have Tracey Abrams coming in...just peaked my attention.....seems to be all completely hearsay from a friend of the poster, but seemed to spark a lot of attention on the board...

Sounds fishy to me. We are fighting for schollies to give as it is, and this type of deal didn't fare so well for us last time.
I like the I-N board though. I've gone to IB for years, but never that site. Will check it out more now. |

Sounds like someone wants to get on board the Final Four Express pretty late in the game.
But really, this sounds more fishy than the Ditka/Butkus for Co-DC rumors. __________________ ![]() ![]() |

Chicago point guard that might not be happy with his time. My first thought was Chris Colvin.

My best guess is Liggins, but from what I had been reading other places, he was saying he was going to stick it out at Kentucky. Plus, I recall there being some issues with him anyways. Obviously Ryan K has the scoop on this one, so hopefully a good guess by someone can get a nod and end the guessing game.

Do you think a transfer from a highly touted point guard would effect Abrams' committment to the O&B at all?

I didnt say anything about it being a good move, I just said it was my best guess. I could be wrong, but wasnt Liggins one of Tracy Websters "boys"? Isnt that the main reason he went to UK and not IL. If that is the case, then if Liggins is transferring, why wouldnt he go to DePaul? |

Transfers rarely work out. I sure don't want to take someone who would mess up the Randle recruitment.
