NY Dem legislation to ban salt use in restaurants

"No owner or operator of a restaurant in this state shall use salt in any form in the preparation of any food for consumption by customers of such restaurant, including food prepared to be consumed on the premises of such restaurant or off of such premises," the bill, A. 10129 , states in part.

"Progress" must continue to be made!

You'd think the pols would all be working 24x7 to figure out how to stimulate business and create jobs, not kill them.

That would be one of the stupidest laws ever written if it is true. Zero redeeming health value and who would eat food that has no added salt? Ever been on a low sodium diet? Awful.

lol we have had some patients who hid salt in their room, because they couldnt get any salt on their food trays due to being on a low sodium diet.

In California a city now bans toys in Happy Meals! To fight against childhood obesity! That'll work, now you will have pissed off parents who will have to drive further to get their kids a Happy Meal with the toy, using more fuel and putting more poison in the air.

I heard this today, ridiculous. Because we all know that it was getting toys with your meal that caused obesity. Not like parents have a say in where kids go for meals, or anything like that... nope, all McDonalds' fault. Thanks government.
