I think you are okay as long as you don't quote the article. Hicks will be hard to pull away from MSU, though.

Ryan of the 3 mentioned between Mosley, Augusta and Howard who do you think would be the best prospect for us to land. I know Howard is the highest ranked on the sites. But specifically who would help this team the most. I think I'd go with Mosely buy Augusta is right up there. Then Howard becomes really important if JB45 leaves. I think all 3 should be considered must gets.

I remember our old DC Vic talk about Cooper and Dickinson about how well they have come along throughout the season and how they were guys he was excited about.....so from that i feel like our depth at LB is solid even if JB45 leaves early for next year
i think the more pressure u get on a QB the better in any situation so i think Augusta would be my pick but when u look at all the guys we already have that are young: Caldwell, Williams, Powell, Clements, Jackson, Gibbs that we seem to be talent full in this area so maybe my mind would change and go with Mosley at CB |

1) Mosley (we have a massive need for CBs who can contribute immediately) 2) Augusta (can never have too many DL types) 3) Howard (we actually have some good young LBs) |

to be able to get Mizzel at RB would be unreal.....i dn if we have a realistic shot at him but to be able to get Bailey 4* QB from instate and then get a top notch RB 4* from the VA area would be sick

Clements missed being a 4* player by 1 spot on Rivals. The Cut off was at 18 and he was ranked #19. Augusta is ranked right behind him at 20. I'm willinig to bet you right now if he went to OSU or UM, he would be a 4* player.

Looks like Bailey dropped to 5th from 4th in his position rankings and Kenton Gibbs went from 30 to 34.

Well I have a short story about Stars....my Older brother was a 3 time all state 2 time 1st team Olineman in Ohio when he was in H.S....he was 6'4 290 with solid footwork and very strong (probably strongest in the Toledo Area)
Scout had him as a 3* and after he got ranked he went to the big Midwest Oline Camp and was named MVP of the camp and everyone from WISCY and OSU ND MICH and some SEC schools took notice and even after he had a decent offer list of big ten schools and a few SEC schools and they "reviewed his profile" he went down in ranking hands down one of the top in the state of Ohio at the time and was in contention for receiving a bid to the All American game and he went down in ranking!!! then he tore his ACL after he won states his JR year and everyone backed off of him but goes to show not one thing negative happened while he was being reviewed and his ranking went down even so me and him follow recruiting very very close and he is living proof that rankings are all but Size and popularity contest me and him just talked about for an hour bout this a few days ago about how certain kids just work better in certain situations so when coaches say about a kid "he just fits what we are looking for" thats 100% true about kids its not all about stars |

so stars, in my opinion, only mean so much....we rather look at film ourselves and there offer sheet to fully get a more accurate assessment of prospects
for example me and my brother were talking about Teko Powell for example: 2*/3* on most sites but he had great size at 6'3 280 looked great on film with his explosiveness and strength and penetrating abilities....and his offer list was way better then what his "stars" suggested so me and him both think that he was an absolute steal for Illinois but the weird thing is Powell did produce at the camps and combines for HS kids and he still wasn't rated very high but anyone who saw film and or saw his offer sheet could see that colleges, despite his star ranking, knew he was a great ball player |

So again, don't sweat subtle distinctions in Rivals rankings. It's easy to scout who is #1 in the class versus #10. It's damn near impossible for #289 versus #306 or whatever. We just need to be beating our B1G competition for guys that fit what we're trying to do. |
