For Tebow? I don't see that. Although, the Miami leadership has made some interesting decisions in the past couple of years.

Maybe the trade will be Tebow and a pick for Gabbert and a pick. Makes sense. Denver gets a project to sit behind Manning while watching and learning.

That would make sense. Gabbert's very young still, sitting behind Peyton would do him a lot of good. He showed last year that he's definitely not ready to start at QB in the NFL.

As for Miami, I see Tebow as a better/more interesting option than Alex Smith or David Garrard, who they've brought in recently to visit. And it'd create some buzz, that's for sure. Tebow will sell a lot of tickets and jerseys.

What in the world is going on? I thought the 49ers were keeping him? I was quite busy this weekend and could barely keep up on the tourney. Is he seriously looking elsewhere?

By the way, I'd put Tebow behind Smith. Probably behind Garrard also. I just don't see Tebow as a viable long term solution.

He's a free agent. But it'll be interesting to see if he welcomes a return to San Fran if he's sore about this whole Manning thing. He and Peyton also have the same agent, which is hilarious as well.

I guess it depends on your view on Tebow, I'm higher on him than most people are. I don't see Smith as anything special, he was in a system last year that was built for him not to screw up. Great running game, great defense, safe throws.

Garrard is 34 years old and didn't play last year. I think Tebow, being young, improving his throwing game baby step by baby step, already having a speed threat, is a better option than both. Someone will pay up for him.

I read an article (si perhaps) that had Philly as a possible destination. What do you guys think? He's a "mobile" quarterback who may be a good backup for Vick.

I don't see him as a very good backup because he needs an offense geared toward his abilities, which at this time don't include passing the ball accurately. I'm sure someone will take a chance on him though.

Yeah, Mendenhall probably won't play much in 2012, if at all. Seeing that the Steelers are struggling with the cap, I doubt he'll stick around.

Vick is certainly more accurate than Tebow, but it's not like Tebow would be backing up Tom Brady. That being said, I think Philly likes their backup (from Nothwestern, I've blocked his name from my memory) and is unlikely to do this.

Sean Payton suspended one year. Mickey Loomis 8 game and $500,000 fine. Saints fined $500,000 and a second round pick in 2012 and 2012.

Glad to hear it. Also just heard Tebow to the Jets.

Bears sign free agent running back Michael Bush

Good move by the Bears.

Matt Forte feels disrespected by Bears’ signing of Michael Bush

Quote:
“There’s only so many times a man that has done everything he’s been asked to do can be disrespected!” Forte wrote on his verified Twitter account. “Guess the good guys do finish last.”
Shut up and do your job.

I disagree with you about Forte. I feel he should be peeved. With that being said, Bush is a fantastic back.

After hearing what they did, they deserve it. I never played football so tell me if Im wrong, but do these huge 250 lb+ men need any more incentive to hurt the other team? Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

About Forte, I understand. The guy has to realize that he is a great player but we can not depend on him to be the only feature in that offense. With the signing of Marshall and a strong backup in Bush, we have some things that can make the offense multidimensional. It will open up more big plays for him because teams will not always be looking for the screen to Forte.

I was pleasantly surprised that they pretty much kept most uniforms the same. Thought they might go a little crazy on all teams like they did with the Seahawks,

I read on ESPN I believe that the NFL prohibits teams from changing unis in 5 year periods so most unis would be staying the same for another few years. I'm not sure how they decide when that 5 year term starts for each team however.

Arrelious Benn is running with the 3rd team in Tampa so far in OTA's.

Hopefully he gets a shot somewhere else if they cut him.

They do have kind of a logjam down there at wideout. Mike Williams surpassed Rejus in their first year there and then they went out and got Vincent Jackson. I hope he goes somewhere a teams feels they can put him in the slot and he will excel.

I don't think he's a 1st or 2nd option receiver at this point, but he can get back to that level. The knee injury didn't help either.

Would love to see how he would mesh with Cam Netwon. Carolina needs receivers. Steve Smith can't play forever.

Yep, this was a relief.

Ok, so I'm doing fantasy for the first time this upcoming season. Someone give me some tips! I've already started trash talking, so I'll need to back it up.
