a 5 game lose streak sure helps. let's hope they run it out there a little longer.

edit- nevermind I see they play the Cubs this weekend. They will cure what ails them.

Cubs beat them yesterday so there's that.

Didn't think Waino would get to 10 wins this year. Shows what a tough competitor he is.

before the season began I thought it would be around 10 wins. 2-5 in the first half. 8-4 in the second half as he got a little stronger.

After his struggles and bad luck at the start of the season I wasn't so sure. 0-4 in April and after things it looked like he was getting into a groove he has 2 outings in June where he gave up 7 runs each. I thought his whole year was going to be lost.

So it looks like Garcia is pitching Sunday against the Pirates.

I think it's such an iffy move by Matheny in this spot. Garcia has been out over 2 months and you're pitching him in a likely rubber game of the most important series of the year up to this point?

When you could start Jaime Tuesday against the Astros??? Just doesn't make much sense to me.

I think I would rather have him on the mound than Kelly.

Agree. Pretty tough situation for him to come into after months of rehab. Maybe he should go to the pen and keep Kelly as a starter.

Oh no, Jaime in the rotation is a no-brainer. Kelly will be 98-100 coming out of the 'pen. Our bullpen is suddenly pretty good.

I just question bringing him back in such a huge spot when you don't have to.

He's hoping to return to the lineup sometime this weekend.

One Pitch Motte killed us last night. And MM didn't yank him after the 2nd consecutive HR? What's up with that?

I liked the quote they read on air. A viewer had his breakfast, lunch and dinner while watching the game.

Big time win tonight in Cincy, hopefully we can take another game or 2 this series. That would be huge! Big road trip started as well, could make or break the season!

I think it's time to get Lynn out of the rotation and let Kelly take over. Kelly has been very effective as a starter while Lynn has really slumped his last 12 starts.

Woo, Cards take 2 out of 3 vs Cincy. Hope they keep it up against Pittsburgh.

Also neat, Mike Matheny went and warmed up Fernando Salas.

Oh I didn't go. That was from Derrick Gould from the Post-Dispatch. Guess I should have credited him.
