I would absolutely love the Super Bowl to come to Chicago. It's a bummer we've missed out on so much - Final Fours, Bowl Games, etc. - but the problem is Soldier Field. It's brand new, but it's tiny. They could have done a much better job with it, IMO.

A repeat in Indy is more likely.

Isn't the playing surface bad by professional standards or did they resurface in recent years?

This is exactly why the "new" Soldier Field was such an incredibly idiotic move. Anybody with a brain in their head, and maybe some that didn't, saw this coming and this is exactly why the new Soldier Field should not have been built. It is an architectural nightmare, the smallest stadium in the NFL and only good for the NFL home games and a few mega concerts a year.
Millions were spent on a brand new stadium that can't host conventions, concerts, Final Fours, Super Bowls, etc. Those that suggest that a real new stadium wasn't built in order to appease Wirtz and Reinsdorf may be right. This was Daley at his worst. __________________ "I could care less" does not mean the same as "I couldn't care less" |
