Horrible timing...right at start of summer workouts.
I guess it could be worse if it happened in October or February |

Saw this last night, good thing it was not because of a fight or anything at least.
Oh well hopefully he comes back stronger and is able to do some work outs at least. |

Any word if his jaw has to be wired like Deron's was? Kudos to Kramer for breaking this story early.

If he is having surgery, have to assume he will be wired shut.

I didn't know how bad the fracture was and if they wired the jaw shut everytime? Real don't need Paul to lose weight. I'm sure they still have some high calorie energy shakes left over from Tisdale.

This could help the team a bit IMO. With summer workouts and your best player out it will allow others to step up and assert themselves, touch the ball a little bit more, convince Coach that they can be trusted at game time. So who will take advantage of this opportunity to shine? I am going with Myke Henry. __________________ No nation can preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare. -- James Madison |

I was at the game where Deron broke his jaw. IIRC, a big center set a mid court pick as Deron was guarding the guy bringing up the ball from full court. Deron had no idea he was there and ran into a 6'8", 250 lb guy at full speed.

I hope it doesn't affect his practice time too much. He is one that I thought could potentially gain the most from the new staff.

Maybe that was Zook and Weber's downfall. All the players they recruited had glass jaws.
![]() But in all seriousness I hope he is okay that he heals quickly. I'm just glad he is practicing so hard...practice like you play. Just try not to get hurt. __________________ _|_ --X-X-(_)-X-X-- /...........|...........\ /.............|.............\ /...............|...............\ |

If Paul follows in D-Will footsteps after a broken jaw, this is great news!
Seriously though, get well soon BP43. In time to have a great senior year! |

Wow. Brandon receives the word he won for Most Dominating Performance of the Year in the B1G and then breaks his jaw. Talk about an up and down week. Keep your chin up, Brandon (well, maybe not) and I look forward to seeing you back on the court soon.

For D-Will it was a blessing in surprise. It took off his baby fat... Paul doesn't need to lose weight. Hope he has some protein shakes pumping in. Have a speedy recovery BP!
