Not enough bigs, no post defense besides Chandler. What the heck are they thinking? Instead of adding another superfluous wing player like Harden or Iguodala, why not Anthony Davis, or Andrew Bynum? Or heck, even Taj Gibson or Marcus Camby?

Congrats to DWill though. Hopefully he can bring home another gold.

Supposedly it came down to Anthony Davis and Blake Griffin.

Hard to see K putting up with Bynum. That's drama waiting to happen.

Probably good they didn't take Eric Gordon cause he probably would've defected to Canada once the team got to London.

As opposed to Blake Griffin who is Pau Gasol layups waiting to happen.

It's interesting to see the tension between the two big "Things We Learned in 2004" that Colangelo and Coach K have been cleaning up for the past several years. The first is that Team USA has to be an actual team, that's familiar with playing with one another, plays a real rotation, etc. The other one is that the roster makeup actually has to make sense, we can't just send an All-Star team out there and expect to out-talent everyone.

We're sacrificing the latter for the former on this team. These are the 12 best guys in the Team USA system, but no one would ever construct an NBA team this way.

Rotten luck that Bosh and Howard got hurt, of course, but excluding Anthony Davis because "he couldn't scrimmage with the team" is just compounding the problem. He doesn't need to be the lynchpin, he just needs to play 10 minutes off the bench and protect the rim, so we don't have to play Love and Griffin at the same time.

Who's the genius that decided to Photoshop the stools out, but only for the middle three?
