next Monday (July 23) I will be in St. Louis. Just wondering where will be a good place to eat since I get into town early (around 11) and my hotel (staying at the Marriott @ Union Station) may or may not let me in.

Plus how is that Tigin Pub on Washington St.? I have to meet a few people there around 2. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on what to get?

Also how's Maggie O'Brien's? Might stop by there after the show to get a late night dinner

Downtown:
Lucas Park Grille (nice and affordable, though not the biggest helpings)

If you feel like driving in farther, McGurk's is one of my favorites.

It's fair-sized, you'll find a seat, and the menu is great (mmm.. wings, too).

Parking in the little area can be flaky - I generally avoid hassle of full lots and park on the street up the block or a side street like Ann or Shenandoah. But if you're there around 11, I'm sure there will be spots in the angles or the park and ride.

You can't go wrong with Maggie's!

Maggie's has some great toasted rav. But I'd go down to Soulard and go to Bogart's, which is in my opinion St. Louis's best BBQ joint. Another Pi Pizzeria opened up Downtown by the Edward Jones Dome. Not a fan of their "deep dish" but the thin crust is delicious.

Go to Pappy's. If there isn't a line out the door, it's awesome.

Tigin is an excellent place to go. I've been there a few times for the early morning euro soccer matches on the weekends. I personally love the Irish breakfast (pretty sure it's served all day) and a Strongbow when I'm there.
