Georgia grad Fletcher Page (https://twitter.com/FletcherPage) is now running the Illinois Scout site. (Or, FOX Sports Next site. Not sure how they want to be called.)

Why would a Georgia grad be running an Illinois site? I don't get it.

To be fair, I've seen other forum software do the same thing. I remember at one forum I frequent, I was listed as one of the users online during when the most users were only, but I was in Parris Island preparing for the final stretch of boot camp at the time as a Marine recruit.

Not soon enough. Dan, hopefully you have seen a boost in views over the past few years as PMan, Harv and others were driving that place into the ground. I wish I had defected sooner as this site is the best around.

The level of maturity seems superior on this site, and the threads generally don't get out of hand to the extent they do elsewhere.
Good work, Dan! |

I have always liked the conversation better here, plus I love how Dan keeps threads concise and together. For example, having only one recruiting thread instead of a new thread every single time a new article comes out. Keep up the good work Dan!

Yep. This is my favorite board. Dan does a great job. I started posting on the Scout board years ago but left when the culture soured. I went to the new publisher's thread today and gave my opinion on why that board went downhill.

apparently scout forgot to renew the domain registration for insideillini.com, it now redirects to rivals
also all the scout mods are being removed, I just hope they don't show up here anytime soon |

Scout isn't a very happy place right now. A lot of folks are upset about how the change was implemented. Many are concerned about a Georgia guy with his SEC perspectives trying to get up to speed on Illinois basketball. I think there will be numerous defections from the premium forum.

I'd like an illini message board where I could cuss like a sailor (Jeff Johnson let the ticky tack stuff slide before he left and doug started deleting every post he didn't like), but yea, twitter and this is about all you need.
