Our Logo

This is something I have been thinking about for a long time, and I was reminded of it recently when I saw that we may be re-branding. I really feel that we are in need of one, recognizable logo.

These are the logos that are used to represent our teams:







It is definitely okay to have more than one logo, but these are so many logos. If you look at iconic schools, Wisconsin has the 'W' as well as Bucky Badger, Michigan has the 'M,' and Iowa has the tiger hawk.

I think we need to stick with one logo and one text logo. The block 'I' should be our primary and then we need a new text logo, since the 'ILLINOIS' doesn't work for me. So what do all of you think?

I'm thinking that's the point of the rebranding to consolidate all the different logos and have one or two consistent across all sports.

Yeah, that is why I am happy about the re-branding. Thomas has been, IMO, a good AD so far. The problems that I had with the direction of our athletics seem to be the same concerns that he had coming in. Would love to have the Chief back, but that isn't happening any time soon, so I will stick with the Block I. Get rid of the horrid slanted lettering.
