nothing to do with the b1g or illinois, but the man who slapped his face after losing to us in '06 and accused us of cheating in the new york times ("where there's smoke, there's fire. . .) wants us -- or at least arkansas beat writers -- to "smile"

Seeing this and hearing him mention Rutgers, I started thinking about the LB from Rutgers we lost to Arky last January -- Vin Ascolese. The one who was shown all kinds of twitter love from the Arky fanbase.

Turns out he didnt pass the NCAA clearinghouse, and was Ark's casualty from last years class. Why am I not surprised. No word on whether he ended up enrolling or not.

I still can't believe Arkansas hired that clown. What is there to smile about, chuckles?

Wondered about the same. Found this here

The injury question was muted to preserve the access of Lindsay Thiry, who put the shortened media session on YouTube, but it was clear Kiffin was perturbed it was asked.

Can't believe they hired him period. Arkansas fans must be pulling there hair out after being talked up as a contender and now a pretender thanks to Smith's lack of coaching skills.

RT @Andy_Staples: John L. Smith in Idaho Falls today for brother's funeral. He died Monday. Smith will return in time for Reuters game.

RT @jonsol John L. Smith's brother died. Puts John L's "smile" comments in better perspective. It's just football. Really.

They may be down, but I'm sure that they can beat a Dutch news agency.
