I'm usually just a straight bourbon drinker, but I just cracked open a bottle of Black Velvet Toasted Carmel - and all I can say is
What fills your tumbler?

I'm big into craft beers and don't drink much in the way of straight liquor but my drink of choice is Sailor Jerry's rum with Coke or ginger ale. I had my first shot of Patron XO coffee flavored tequila last Friday and it's on my list for the next trip to Total Wine and More. I'm not a coffee drinker but the XO was very smooth and great tasting. No tumblers here, I drink everything out of pint glasses stored in the freezer!

Templeton Rye - Amazing rye and I know the family
Macallan 12 - Good daily drinker Talisker 10 - Smokey, and great for a single glass Pogue - Strong nose, but very smooth Clynelish - Strong nose and a bit too much alcohol, but still good Bulleit (Scotch) - Great value and pretty darn tasty Tito's Vodka - Super value and very delicious Just bought my buddy a Macallan 18 for his b-day, that was a good bottle of scotch. |

I'm almost exclusively a beer drinker but, especially around the holidays I enjoy a shot of Crown Royal.
My father got me there and now its my daughter and I (she's 33.) |

I am sans whiskey at the moment. This thread might be inspiring a trip to the liquor store...
Any good bourbon suggestions? |

What do you guys think of the honey craze going on right now? Seems like every bourbon has an option with it. I haven't tried it yet.

A man after my own heart (have you tried the 18? It's astoundingly good).
I like my beer bitter, and my whisky (single malt only, of course) smokey. Lagavulin would have to be my favorite, however. Neat, please. A droplet or two of water to open it up on the occasion. __________________ And unto thee we pledge our heart and hand, Dear Alma Mater ![]() |

Also... Macallan 15 (that's a treat) Jameson's 15 (pick it up at duty free for nice $) Knob Creek, even tho' I'm not usually a bourbon guy And for beer... Dogfish Head Ale 60 Min IPA Guinness, especially the old, non-CO2 extra stout It turns out I learned a lot at Illinois, but most of this has been after I left

Not a big straight liquor drinker but I do normally have a few high balls around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve.. It became a little tradition with my dad to have at least one on each of those nights. We always drank either a high ball made with one of 2 whiskeys he got back in the mid to late 70's.
Seagram's V.O. (bottled in 1970) Dewar's White Label (bottled around the same time.. not sure exactly though) I have been looking for a good sipping drink though.. |

I disagree, if you have $300 to spend on alcohol there's not a whiskey more smooth and rich. __________________ virtus junxit mors non separabit ![]() |
