By the way, remember that La. Tech team? Yeah they're ranked #23 now and will easily be top-20 next week if they beat aTm this weekend.

No. 46 F/+ ranking
No. 42 Sagarin

I doubt they beat TAMU. LaTech is ranked because they are unbeaten, even though they haven't played anyone good. Every opponent to date has a losing record.

I don't know that they'll win this Saturday either but I think it'll be a good game.

TAMU is No. 14 in the F/+ rankings, No. 6 on Sagarin. Sagarin predicts a 14 point TAMU win. This will be an exciting game from a media perspective, little brother does good and all that, but the data suggest TAMU wins comfortably.

As they say, that's why they play the games!

Arizona State looked good against Colorado. Oregon will be another story. Every team that we have lost to this year will probably have the wins to qualify for a bowl even if one is ineligible for bowl consideration.

It doesn't mean that Illinois is any better than a average football team right now, but it does show that their schedule hasn't done them any favors. New coach. New system. No depth. Key injuries. I am disappointed in the season so far, but I can understand why the struggles exist.

This year our schedule is almost the exact opposite as last year. 2011 opened with 6 VERY winnable games that we not-coincidentally won and then we hit the meat of our schedule and...well the rest is history as they say.

2012 greeted us with a good MAC team, a Pac-12 team that looks to be the favorite to make the conf. champ. for their division, CSU (nuff said), a non-BCS conf. team that is ranked and could make a BCS bowl, and then the conf. schedule starts with 3 of the 4 traditionally best programs in the conference all on the road with IU sandwiched in there at home.

However, the back half is very manageable. Here's hoping we continue to show improvement this week as we did last week, GET HEALTHY DURING THE BYE (PLEASE?!), roll IU at home, and make some hay in the 2nd half of the conf. season.

 Spurrier doesn't look half bad but Miles looks like Kurt Russell playing Herb Brooks in the movie Miracle.

Great moments are born from great opportunity, and that's what you have here tonight, boys.
That's what you've earned here, tonight. One game. If we play'em 10 times, they might win 9.
But not this game. Not tonight. Tonight we run with them.
Tonight we STAY with them... , and we SHUT THEM DOWN because we can!
Tonight, we are the greatest football team in the world.
You were born to be football players, Every one of ya.
You were meant to be here tonight. This is your game.
THEIR TIME IS DONE! IT'S OVER!
I'm sick and tired of hearin' about what a great football team
Alabama has. SCREW 'EM! This is your time, now go out there and take it!

Yup, should make people more encouraged with how well we played for most of the game last week on D as well as for our chances against PU.

Right, I just mean more in terms of how well we played for 3 quarters before eventually wearing down. Our combined records of the teams we lost to has to be like 16-4 or somethin like that right?

163-59 is the combined score of the games we lost. That's flat out terrible even with all of the excuses. This team should have been able to compete better than that, a lot of this is coaching.

I'm not buying that moral victory of playing hard for part of the game.

Ugh, we get it. You hate the coaches, think they should be fired, think we are going nowhere, think we won't win another game, don't buy facts...excuse me..."excuses", etc. etc. etc.

If you don't want to continue to ignore a majority of the things that have caused the start to this season then that's fine...but it's not going to help your credibility.

Texas is down 36-2, but I'm sure their fans are pleased with a good effort for part of the game. -Said no one ever
