Sometimes you lose to teams because they have way better talent. That stinks but you accept it when you've got a new coach. Now what we have today is a loss to a team with not as good talent because we had too many stupid penalties and turnovers and missed assignments. That bugs the heck out of me. In case anybody didn't already know it, we're officially the worst team in the Big Ten.

Stupid penalties, bad turnovers, special teams errors ... Is Zook still coaching this team?

21 Indiana points came on drives that were extended by defensive penalties. All three were by seniors. Two of them were late hits out of bounds. It doesn't matter what defensive scheme you run if your best defenders give the opponent three second chances.
The cupboard's just too empty for this team to be competitive. The coaching staff will have to be given a chance to try to refill it. Simple as that. |

Correct me if I am wrong but 3 of Indiana's Td's came on stupid 15 yard penalties, muff punts, or Turnovers. Self-inflective L.

Id be willing to go out on a limb and say that our backups and whoever else we put on the online couldn't do any worse. This might be the worst oline in the history of college football.

Does anyone else miss the Zooker? I kind of miss the Zooker.
Seriously, this is like early Turner-era bad. __________________ "The danger is all around us now. Hatred is rising, yet all sides feel more virtuous. We’re asleep to the threat. It's official . . . .
Illinois just won the 2012 Big Ten "YOU SUCK" Trophy . . . I don't know which is worse - not being able to watch the Illini play ala in the days before BTN, or having them on TV and forcing myself to watch HORRIBLE football. Oh well . . . I still love the Orange and Blue, and always will.

The worst part about it is that our coaching staff was wearing white after Labor Day.

How the heck do you NOT go for it on 4th down at the end of the first half????? Even if you don't make it, IU still has to drive 35 yards in 30 seconds just to get off a long field goal.
This team is pathetic. We just lost at home, on homecoming, coming off a bye week, against historically the worst team in the B1G. It still blows my mind that people can be defending the coaching staff after performances like this. They had two weeks to game plan against IU and couldn't get it done. You can't use the "We don't have enough talent" excuse when you lose to the only team in the B1G with less talent than we do. __________________ Williams to tie it with a three......HE DOES!!! |

I can understand losing to better talent, but losing because you are unprepared is inexcusable. Especially after a bye week.
