Actually I'd be mildly surprised if Auburn cans GC. They are playing a lot of young guys, and he did win a NC in 2010.

Derek Dooley is on life support at Tenn right now. They have to beat Mizzou at home or he gone imo.

Who are the "hot" names? I'd imagine Charlie Strong at Louisville, Kirby Smart the DC at Alabama would be two.

If Strong leaves Louisville, it will be for a top program in the SEC. Auburn and Tennessee are the only two schools on that list he would consider.

There's a certain standard in the SEC; don't win and you're out.

I mean look at Auburn; just two years ago Chizik was hoisting the Nat. Championship Trophy, and now he may be out after one terrible SEC year. Seems like there's a short leash down south...

It's more than that with Chizik. Everything about the body of work screams that the credit for the national title goes something like 60% Cam Newton 40% Gus Malzahn 0% Gene Chizik.

I think it's going to be a 100% justified firing.

Yeah, his firing isn't because the SEC demands more. It's because they went from a national champion to 2 wins in the span of two years. That's awful.

Sonny Dykes-LaTech: Great offense, flavor of the month non-BCS school.He's solid though

Willie Taggart- WKU-- Harbaugh disciple, took WKU from winless doomat in the SBC to a contender quickly, and they are still relatively new to FBS.

Chad Morris- OC Clemson: If you can make Dabo Swinney look good, you are in line for a good job. Can't question the players Dabo's given to him though.

I wonder if Zook will get any looks? Maybe someone will hire him on their staff if he isn't hired as a HC somewhere. I could see Kentucky looking at him.

Chad Morris is going to have to be a head coach at a place like Arkansas State before he can compete for an SEC job.

Taggart and Dykes are going to get a chance to move up this year. I like both of them. Dykes is more than a flavor of the day with how he has built that program.
