Sagarin predictor model says Purdue by 10.
I'll go with that. Purdue 23 Illini 13 |

Somehow I pictured an idealistic week 13 game at Northwestern where we were both 5-6, and bowl eligibility was on the line. Lol, clearly that's not happening, but this is the only game left I can see with a W next to the box score. This is more of my heart not my head. Here's to hoping we can finish with just one more win...

I can't see us scoring a TD and I agree with Sagarin so I'll say 13-3.

I can't see us scoring a TD, on offense, but after recent improvement I like special teams to get one. Illini steal one and avoid being skunked in the Big Ten!!!

We're going to win this one, because ... well why the hell not?
A good opening drive is punched in this time. Two more decent drives that stall for FGs. A TD from either ST or the defense, or setup by them. The stale, cold lasagna gives everyone gastrointestinal distress. Purdue 16 Illinois 20 |

Forecast looks decent for Saturday, low 50s and sunny. If it takes a turn for the worse, probably won't end up at the game.

Just realized we have BTN rollover channel drama for the Purdue game.
Minnesota-Nebraska also on BTN 2:30pm CT. |

I doubt anyone will raise too much of a stink not being able to watch this debacle continue.

For some reason, I think we're going to win this game. This season reminds me of Penn State in 2003. They were awful all season, were 2-8 (0-6), and then played phenominal to beat Indiana 52-7. I think we win big in this game, and then Beckman does not win another game at Illinois.

Purdue 250 fans attending
Illinois 13 fans attending (and 0 fans watching because we will all be up late Friday night and into Saturday morning following what the Basketball team is doing in Hawaii). One more prediction: Halftime adjustments won't work. That is the most consistent part of the the Iliini team this year. |

Hard to see us winning if we can't score. And it is hard to envisioning us scoring. Maybe Ashante will get us another touchdown?

The only way we can win the football game is to have our football players play football better than the other football team.
