am i the only person who thinks we should give myke more tick than griffey? at least myke can play defense/rebound while griffey is probably the worst defender on the team....not to mention his rebounding....

Yay, we snapped our UC losing streak!

Nothing from BP3 and we can still win. That was nice.

I wasn't very concerned about winning, but thought it was important that we play well heading into the B1G. Oh well...

Great game for TA. He is really coming into his own. Needs to hit FT's though.
That said..... I think this team is really going to struggle in B10 play. Our interior is really weak. Both defensively and on the glass. I think we played over our heads in some of the early games. I think this game is much more representative of our real team. A poorly constructed roster with lots of holes. Groce has gotten a lot more out of this squad than I thought imaginable. |

I answered this in the game thread. I say it's a toss up. Both can't play defense. Myke may rebound better but not by much. Tyler shoots better than Myke. I am getting that bad feeling Myke might be one of those 'just glad to be here' kind of guys.

And that's how you close out a game...lol
Wore my new #13 jersey that I got for Christmas! Glad to see TA get a career high and carry us! Sam was awesome as well. |

Well that didn't exactly instill my confidence in this bunch. Glad we stopped the streak though, bring on Purdue!

The Illini just don't seem to play with intensity much of the time. This is going to need to change or they are in for a tough time in the B1G.
On the other hand, it's good to see they are winning the close games. |

*Our defense looked awful...allowed too much drive penetration...and our rotations were slow and pathetic *Killed on the boards again...will be our achilles heel all year *BP3 a NBA prospect??? GMAFB.... How come we always make bad teams look good?? (and Auburn is god awful) |

yeah but especially in the mizzou game i get the feeling that tyler ALWAYS lets his man get a rebound that absolutely kills us or lets his man get baseline time after time......i mean myke for griffey might not be such a huge dropoff in offense while it might be a significant upgrade on D/rebounding

lol wish he hadn't hit that three at the buzzer... (it's the little things). Whatever! A win is a win is a win is a win. Bring on the B1G.

We'll beat an OSU, MSU this year but we'll lose to Purdue at home or something like that. That's just how this team is. Win a couple we shouldn't and lose some we shouldn't

More JoeTales, More Myke.
BP3 needs to look to get his teammates involved again and stop forcing his game. It will come to him with patience. NEXT! |

Better practice 3s cuz Sparty, Wiscy, & Minny are going to hammer us inside.

We will lose a head scratcher or two for certain, and we shouldn't be surprised. I just hope the high's outweigh lows, and right now, they absolutely do. |

Louisville is trailing Kentucky right now at home. If they end up losing, it means both #8 Cincinnati and #5 Louisville will drop out of the top 10, and despite this horrible performance, we might move up a spot or two from #12.
