No, they just beat Kentucky. Only loss is to Duke early in the season.

I still don't get a couple of things:

1.) both OSU and Florida are in the top 10, even though they both have 2 losses.

2.) Gonzaga is 4 spots ahead of us, even though we beat them head to head and our résumé is better than theirs.

3.) Creighton is 3 spots ahead of us, even though our résumé is much better.

Voters don't look at "resumes", they look at last week's poll, check who won/lost and update their votes accordingly.

tOSU and Florida are programs that have been powerhouses this century, so they have more staying power than others would.

Yeah I guess OSU's 2 losses have been to two top 6 teams, so that's understandable, but one of Florida's losses was to an unranked, at the time, KSU.

Except that OSU lost at home to Kansas. While Kansas is no doubt a good team, a true top-10 team should win at home against them.

And Gonzaga barely beat Baylor in a game that Pangos scored 31, and he can't do that every game, so does that win even count?

Our one loss was to Missouri and Creighton's one loss was at home to Boise State.

I like this poll much better, but it's funny to see Gonzaga at 10 (who we beat) and Missouri at 12 (who beat us) and then us at 11.

It looks like the AP people are on my side with regards to Florida and Creighton having them both well below us.

Baylor is a top 50 team. Auburn is probably in the lower 50% of the country. "Barely beat" probably applies more to what we did than what Gonzaga did.

Again, these rankings are based on changes from the previous week. There will be more than a few head scratchers from week to week. That's why these rankings are mostly bogus anyway. Each voter has his own reasoning for deciding who is better than who from week to week, and those combine to form some goofy setups like Gonzaga>Illinois>Mizzou this week even though in a head to head perspective, it should be Mizzou>Illinois>Gonzaga.

Yeah I was just joking about the Gonzaga vs. Baylor game. I don't think barely beating someone should count against you, whether it be Gonzaga or Illinois.

If we have less than 8 BiG losses, we'll easily be a top 10 team at the end of the year. Maybe top 5. I think most of us are expecting 9 BiG losses. Maybe one more or one less.
