I think I'm actually pulling for Notre Dame on this. Feels blasphemous - but I think the SEC dominance just needs to stop. And, Notre Dame getting bigger britches probably doesn't hurt us that bad - as they'll tend to aim even higher for recruits nationally and maybe overlook quality midwest 4-stars for whom we need to start beating Wisconsin, MSU and Iowa in recruiting races.

Roll Tide.

SEC fans won't get any more insufferable, but Notre Dame winning would just be awful. And the fact that the SEC dominance is pretty much centered around 3 teams (LSU, Florida, and Bama) makes it a bit easier to swallow when fans of the other schools ride their coat tails.

I agree with this 100%. ND winning another (fictional) championship has to be a sign of the apocalypse.

I cannot understand how anyone could want to see Saban win again. Bama win again. The SEC win again. No thanks. Notre Dame hasn't won since the 80s - let their fans be happy for a year.

Yet, I expect Bama to put this game out of reach by the half.

I'm torn on this one. I can think of 3 or 4 reasons I'd root for, or against, either team. That said, if you held a gun to my head and said "pick one" I'd go with Bama. Always had a soft spot for them since the days of Namath and Stabler. That, and Bear Bryant's last game was against our Illini. Either way, I hope it's a good, clean game.
