Some great games coming up that, IF we win them, can really right the ship and get things on track. Have to just let it all hang out, have a bit of Alzheimer's regarding last season as a team, and just play to win and enjoy playing basketball again. I know Coach Groce won't roll over. I just hope we shake this funk and play decent ball again fast as it is pretty much make or break time.

It's so sad. This is the same team that crushed Butler, beat Gonzaga in Spokane, and thoroughly embarrassed Ohio State that's losing to Northwestern and Purdue.

I cant disagree with Illini not being ranked. however Mizzou should have dropped farther. they got destroyed by Florida. and Wisconsin shouldnt be ranked either. they lost to Iowa.

If you argue that teams losing in the BIG should not be ranked, the whole BIG is out. Other top teams are losing in their conferences as well.
Certainly we have lost our claim to ranking. It was sad watching Zags vs Butler, knowing we beat them both. Hopefully we can regain respectability and win some games. Our resume is not toast, yet, but if we don't win some games... GO Illini! |

Our overall resume is far from bad. If the tournament ended today we would still make it.
If we can make it to 8-10 in conference we're in. We have too many victories over Top 20 teams to be ignored. Just have to avoid the really bad losses like *cough*NU*cough*. |
