Looks like he'll be gone soon. They're saying he'll probably receive a similar penalty as Bruce Pearl did.

Not much of a surpirse. Lots of innuendo about impropriety there since he came.

Pearl did his deeds at multiple schools correct? Infractions at Tenn led to his firing iirc. Not sure Haith has been caught doing anything illegal at mizzou |

I highly doubt Missouri will keep him. They would have to be saddled with whatever restrictions are handed down. Plus, if they chose to keep him and he was hit for any infraction at Missouri, the NCAA would drop the hammer bigtime.
Makes the most sense for Missouri to part ways with him. It's not like its a horrible job and they can't find someone else. |

This is going to play out well into April as the response time is 90 days from now.
I can't see Missouri firing him at this point, a wait and see approach is all the university can do at this time. The fall out is going to be felt BIG TIME with Missouri and the recruiting they have in place. I do not think Missouri will receive any violations it is just the Coach who is on trial Last edited by CARPET; Jan 21, 2013 at 06:43 PM. |

A sloppy job of vetting Haith prior to hiring him by Mizzou AD Mike Alden. Haith of course was a rebound choice by MO after being used by Matt Painter.
I agree with most here. Mizzou can't keep him on if these findings stick. |

Let the Shaka Smart/Mizzou rumors start.

What's funny is if you go to espn.com home page right now underneath the headlines it has a pic of Haith and it says 'Help Missouri's Coach Haith win $100,000 for charity'.if that isn't irony I don't know what is.

The worst thing for Mizzou IMO is if this thing drags out. From the info in the article Haith has 90 days to respond to the allegations, then the NCAA has 6 months to rule. If that happens you are into the next season and forced to play it out with an interim coach and a lost recruiting class. This years class may see some defections as well.
Mizzou will need to pressure Haith to respond quickly and ask the NCAA for some haste in their ruling or risk cratering their program he has to be fired. |

Just seen that on Bleacher Report as well (although I know it isn't considered a good thing to post). Good news for anyone embroiled in this.
