Another FB coach gone? Player tweet says "I'm gonna miss coach G".

Referring to Coach Gilmore? Pretty sure Golesh and Gonzales aren't going anywhere.

Haven't seen anything to say otherwise yet. Seems like that'd be a silly move to make right now.

Bonahoom would have worked with Gonzales not Gilmore or Golesh.

Sounds like Gonzales based on a tweet two hours prior to the one Dan posted:

Apparently Gonzales might be in consideration for a position at Utah:

well Cubit is our OC now. Perhaps he wants to bring his own guy in.
I agree that it would be a shame, but it wasnt like Gonzo had the answers last year. |

True, but when he only called third downs and then only a portion of third downs, it makes it a little tough to tell if he had the answers or not. I feel bad for the receivers because like the tweet said - three years and three different coaches has to be tough for a player.

hey, i guess that's not a bad deal for us, eh? finishes out his recruiting time, which seemed to be his strength, and then we potentially get in a cubit co-staffer?

This doesn't surprise me a bit. He was brought in as co-coordinator and that didn't work out. Now he has been demoted to a WR coach working under an OC that he doesn't know, implementing a new system different from anything he knows.

Seems there could be something to the Utah talk:

What happens when your offense is the 2nd worst in the country? You get an entirely new offensive staff.

Couldn't have been a bad break up if we was cool with sticking until after signing day, right?

There was obvioudly enough respect between Gonzo and TB that they agreed to wait until LOI day was over to announce this. This was probably in the works for a while now. |

I've heard whispers of Gonzo's replacement. Not a huge fan of the pick if it turns out but not horrible IF it turns out.

Pretty weird how things work. I was just watching Gonzo sitting at a computer in the "Signing Day Sits and Sounds" video.

Exactly. I wonder if TB's biggest lament is Campbell not coming along. Do you think it came down to money, or did he just REALLY want a HC position in the MAC at this time?

His departure should not be a surprise.
