Away Uniforms: Orange or Blue?

I believe the blue uniforms are cursed. If someone were to go back and take a look at our win percentage wearing blue or orange, I would bet wearing orange is much higher.

I just did a quick stat comparison for this season only but not for years past.

Win percentage wearing orange: 50

Win percentage wearing blue: 33

I knew I was right.

I was mistaken. Our win percentage wearing blue this year is also 50%.

We would have to dig back a few seasons to prove my point.

Our winning percentage wearing blue is low because it's our road uniform and winning on the road is extremely difficult in the B1G.

Is the Mizzou game the only time we've worn the orange this year? I remember some on here that only wanted the orange to be worn for big games.

The blues are definitely better looking. But any uni looks good if the team wins.

I think we should keep wearing blue this year and next year. That way the following year, when all of our expectations for the team are growing, we can break out the orange for only really big games and we can all really be excited about them.

I know it was exciting awesome back in the day when we'd wear them because it was something they rarely wore. All the fans were thinking "The orange jerseys are awesome, I don't understand why we don't wear them more!"

But when you wear them regularly, it's like "yeah, they are cool, but man those blue jerseys look really nice as well."

I'm probably the minority here, but I would like to see them wear nothing but orange.

The whites just don't do it for me. Don't like the two tone.

Nope, not just you. I would like to see those as well. Didn't they have something like that during 05 season?

I think they would be an interesting option. St Teresa in Decatur uses the same orange and blue just like illinois. A few years ago they had an alternate black uniform, it was sweet.

I agree. I dig the look of the blue ones by far. I prob like our white uni's the least.

I would be interested to see what a Black and orange Illinois jersey would look like. I know it's not Illinois colors but I would be different.

This better not ever happen! Thankfully I'm pretty sure the people in the design department at the athletic department feel the same as I do.

I voted blue because I'm a crusty old fart and that's what I saw them play in on the road for years before the orange uniforms came along. That said, I think the orange looks fine, too. But let's keep it simple. Orange, blue, or white. That's it. It's basketball, not a fashion show, and the idea that a certain color makes them play better or worse seems pretty silly to me.

We also wore orange for the Northwestern game... maybe they aren't that good of luck. I like both the blue and orange though. They both look sharp. I still don't like the two tone 'Illini' on the white ones.

Get rid of the white.

Wear the blue at home and the orange on the road.

Time for Illinois to get a newly designed basketball uniform. And go back to traditional basketball tops.

I've seen several teams that have alternate uniforms where instead of having "Illinois" or "Michigan" across the front, it has the logo.

I think having a blue uniform with an orange "I" on the front would be sweet.

Too bad the Chief is gone. That would look killer on the front of a uni.

Yea grey would probably look good with the blue name and numbers, I don't think they would look good with the orange name and numbers tho.
